We spent a long time looking for the ideal system to help with the running of our martial arts school and we tested a few different systems. I'm so glad we decided on Martialytics, I don't know how we coped without it. I use it every day to track students attendance, payments, gradings, notes and events. We have 650 weekly students and the system copes perfectly. **What do you dislike about Martialytics?** There is a lot of functionality, some of which we don't use yet as it doesn't quite suit our needs. We are not a traditional martial arts company with a main dojo. Although I'm sure if I asked the Martialytics team they would help me figure out how I could use the additional features. **What problems is Martialytics solving and how is that benefiting you?** New features are being added all the time, which is great. I feel that the Martialytics team really understand what is required to run a martial arts business. ### 2. It takes a ton of work off my plate and just makes it easy to do all the behind-the-scenes work. Setting up new students is a breeze and the student portal is amazing - probably one of the best out in the market. It is actually a feature of my school that I actively promote how students can have a 'dojo in their pocket' to supplement their regular training. The support team are great and you don't feel like just another ticket number when working with them to get help on a specific issue. This is clearly a platform designed by people who want to solve a problem they faced and they listen to customers about ongoing trends and new problems in the market that need solving. **What do you dislike about Martialytics?** I've first used Martialytics for over a decade now and even went to use another service for about a year before switching back. there are certainly some platforms that give greater reporting functionality but to be honest, it comes at a cost of end-user experience. **What problems is Martialytics solving and how is that benefiting you?** Martialytics takes the hassle out of all the admin work that comes with running a dojo. Things like tracking attendance, managing student details, handling payments, and staying on top of communication—it just makes it all easy. It saves me a ton of time, so I can focus more on teaching instead of getting bogged down in paperwork. The student portal is awesome too—students can track their progress, check schedules, and stay connected, which means fewer questions coming my way and more engaged students. Overall, it just makes running my dojo smoother and less stressful. ### 3. I use it daily, and I can confidently say that all the information for your school and business is right at your fingertips, ready to review and pull data. It offers a much-needed progression and grading system that previous CRM programs lacked. I’m so glad I found this software! The staff is always quick to respond to any questions, which makes an already easy-to-use system even better! **What do you dislike about Martialytics?** Honestly, I don't have any major complaints. If you're looking for a software solution specifically designed for martial arts that can track all the essentials, this is where you should start and end. **What problems is Martialytics solving and how is that benefiting you?** Martialytics solves the problems of attendance tracking and keeping track of rank progression. I no longer have to rely on self-made systems to track attendance. I can easily see when individuals are ready to progress. ### 4. I can run classes and events at a touch of button. I can communicate everything to my whole club or just a select group. The owner's and sales team are very understanding as well as willing to help a small school out for a year to be able to afford it full price. First, I didn't remember what I did to add people for the app. Once I sent a message out, they were quick to respond. 2 of the parents of my students weren't able to get onto the app because of forgot the password. Brad quickly to respond to inform me what to do so they could have access to the app again. My students enjoys the check in process since it's only one step instead of 2 step process for check in. We are not utilizing everything that they offer but at some point I will be. The main thing at this moment is the check in and the app for students to have videos to practice at home. What else I liked is when I promote someone then I click on the name of student and it updates right away to the next rank level requirements as well as the promotion date. Can't stress the customer service is excellent and willing to work with small schools. **What do you dislike about Martialytics?** I have no complaints. Price is very reasonable on everything that I was looking for plus more. Martialytics is truly a very effective tool. It definitely has more than I need and I love the pricing structure. I feel like it's the most fair on the market. Most of the other software companies are always trying to get a cut which I find a little unfair. **What do you dislike about Martialytics?** It's not that I dislike it, but it would be great if the widget options was easier to use. Because of the java coding, it takes a little more advanced user to be able to load it onto the website. Also, it would be great if I was able to customize the forms. Also maybe have a couple of options to add more information to a student's profile. **What problems is Martialytics solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's helping me collect payments on time without missing anything. If I didn't have this, I would have to invoice people and maybe chase them for payment. A couple of my favorites are the QR code feature for new students to sign up, we have been able to become paperless as a dojo because the waivers have also been integrated! This saves us time and money! I also love the booking widget feature, I am able to add my class calendar to my website. The way I utilize this is by making our community events publishable by widget only and my student classes are portal only. I also love the simplicity of the software, you do not need to go to 20 different menus to find what you are looking for. Customer service is always spot on too! **What do you dislike about Martialytics?** The only downside I have found is we are unable to make a link to sign up for specialty classes as a non student, but we have found a work around. **What problems is Martialytics solving and how is that benefiting you?** Martialytics just solved a problem that we were facing with student transactions not showing up on the app. They fixed in within a week!! I know they are working on a way to enable texting in the USA, once they have that resolved Martialytics will have no competition! ### 15. Very receptive to suggestions for improvements. Makes managing my students and taking payments a LOT easier than my previous manual system - the reconciliation of electronic payments alone is worth the money! **What do you dislike about Martialytics?** I can't really think of anything I dislike about Martialytics. Sure, there are some things I would like to be slightly different, but for an off-the-shelf product it is great, and there is plenty of adaptability. **What problems is Martialytics solving and how is that benefiting you?** Martialytics makes it much easier to setup payments from students, plus it does all of the reconciliation for you and flags up any failed payments. The ability to have a tablet in class, and students to tap their name/photo to sign into the class takes away the tedious need for keeping a manual register of attendance. Martialytics records grading history, and tracks attendance etc, plus shows when people are potentially eligible for gradings... this saves me having to manually sort through every student. Overall, Martialytics is a time saver, which is all important as running a martial arts club or business can be a big drain on family life, etc. ### 16. The live chat help fuction is really good and the instructional videos are a good bonus too. They are open to feedback for future development too which is fantastic. Brad and the team are always exceptionally helpful. **What do you dislike about Martialytics?** I dont have anything i dislike, there are a few things which could work smoother and some features which could be developed. However, they are constantly developing and take feedback and suggestions onoard so i am confident that over time all of these small gaps will close. very happy so far. **What problems is Martialytics solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have had a few items added to the wishlist. There isnt anything the system can't do which i need it to, it could just become more streamline and give some additional analytics which wuld make using it more efficient. It has a bunch of functionalities, such as tracking gradings, enabling self-check-ins, class attendance monitoring, and automatic billing, which all contribute to the improvement of the learning experience for our pupils and smooth-run business operations. **What do you dislike about Martialytics?** The lack of control in pausing and resuming payments through automated billing is a major inconvenience for me in Martialytics. On top of that, the software's inability to display prior emails to members and issues syncing with Stripe, along with limited flexibility in grading criteria, all draw my concern. **What problems is Martialytics solving and how is that benefiting you?** Martial arts training has become much more efficient since implementing Martialytics into our operations. The new student app is excellent! **What do you dislike about Martialytics?** There isn't really anything to dislike. Brad & Glen don't release new features until they're fully tested. Perhaps the only thing that we'd like to see is being able to do more from each students record rather than having to go into a different tab, but it's not a major issue. **What problems is Martialytics solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Martialytics for running every aspect of the business, we use two pieces of software, Martialytics and an accounts package. That's it. Team members can log into the dashboard, this is really useful if you have multiple locations/instructors. Not being able to see previous sent communications with someone. Not being able to resend to unopened respondants. Don't like not being able to group family members and link billing. The interface is easy to use and needs very little explanation for our students and families. A major bonus is that it runs on every device you can imagine. Martialytics fits our major business needs without being astronomically expensive. The available features are powerful tools and help our team enjoy more time on the mat and less time working on the backend. Brad, Glen, & Fiona are always attentive and compassionate, especially when something isn't going quite right. There is no way to require a card to be on file, but there is an option to change or take off cards completely. You can not take off or modify app-related screens. For example, turning on or off grading information or class attendance in the student portal. They are little things, and the team works to add features and functionality regularly. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, but is not something that if find easy to use. Somehow, I find it awkward to use.
