## Homerun Reviews
 ### 1. Disappointed with HomeRun.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Todd C. | CEO & Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

The product itself is actually really good. I've used it for a number of years.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

Really disappointed with HomeRun, which I've used for a number of years. Firstly, if you deactivate your plan, they delete everything, which was pretty frustrating because I'd spent a lot of time setting up landing pages and email automations. A lot of work went into it, and then it was all deleted.

But actually, the most frustrating thing is that I just set up my account again from scratch. I spent a lot of time doing it, and right when I got to the payments section (the monthly payment), there's a checkbox at the bottom which says I agree that this is an annual contract. They don't offer monthly pricing anymore, but they don't tell you that until right at the point where you've invested so much time into setting up everything under the free trial.

That's the last time I'll be using Homerun. What a shame. Otherwise, the product is really good.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unfortunately, they're not solving anything because I can't use the product.

 ### 3. An easy and professional way to streamline your hiring process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaap S. | Project Lead Marketing & Communications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

I like the combination of ease of use and the option to go under the hood and add your own fonts and CSS.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

Homerun could be improved by letting you use your own templates with boilerplate text snippets and other reusable components such as a 'team' section with profile images etc. Also the UI could be improved - big images look distorted in the editor (in Safari) although they look fine on the frontend. Also, UI frontend options could be polished - captions for images would be a nice feature, for example.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A couple of major ones: better landing pages for job openings; better UX for job seekers with automated email notifications etc; GDPR-compliant and privacy friendly data management; a streamlined selection process with organising meetings and evaluating candidates.

Is an easy platform, helps me to be more organize with the CV we receive and put them in the correct step of the process or reject if the candidate doesn't fit the profile, has helpful templates and good easy chat for first communication with the candidates.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

At the beginning toke me a little to understand how it works.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We receive a lot of CV and Homerun help us to be more organize but also to share it with my colleagues, we can see who we think is a good fit, who is in process and chat internally; this is super helpful to us as we are not in the same place or at the same time all the time, without this it was more complicated as one had to take the head lead of the process.

everything is fine for us. As a small company we don't need much and the platform fulfilled every requirement we had

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

mainly managing holiday, sick days and similar.

 ### 15. Great product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

Nice overview and useability of their product, email response works very well in your own email as well as in the app. Have not had to use the customer service yet but based on the other features I'm assuming that is on par as well!

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

The linkedin links rarely works, doesn't show the correct person when clicking it.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hiring workign students and entry level employees.

 ### 16. Easy to use employee app for the whole business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

Very intuitive and can be used straight away without training. So handy to be able to see my team and colleagues' holidays/absences all in one place. Good for seeing my remaining holiday allowance.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

We sell dashboards so....as a user I think a donut chart for a summary of my holidays is not the best type of chart to display. I would like to see days booked by month in a bar chart ie the spread over the year as well as my allowance.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Book annual leave, see my AL allowance

 ### 17. Intuitive, secure, complete

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2025

As someone with a broad background in technology, software use, implementation, and the SaaS industry, I have been very impressed with the complete nature of Homerun. The software is very intuitive, well laid out, easy on the eye, and for now, I haven't noticed a lack of a desirable feature or function.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

The UX is well considered, loads of helpful tips and templates, good headway in the DEI space too with scorecards, annoymous reviewing, & sensitive data. What I also LOVE is that the homerun build team are always there to support, and not only listen to your feedback, but action it! Feels like part of a community.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

Still some issues with confidentiality around salaries as there isn't a way to ask about expectations or make offers that isn't public to the whole hiring team.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As well as an ATS, we also use homerun as a database to keep track of freelance talent.

It's benefited us in a multitude of ways – to review independently and remotely, promoting non-bias /DEI objects. Quick for us to share candidates, portfolios, rates, and to have a live feed (through mails) to know what has been actioned.

Very user friendly, calendar function is great for whole company overview and assigning leave. Support chat is always really responsive and quick to resolve any queries.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

not always clear where to find certain functions. Holiday approval doesn't give you option to view any effecting events - just have to come out and check and then go back in - this could be improved with just an option button to view the calendar at the point.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HR calendars and coms

 ### 22. Home Run is good for managing HR stuff

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

I recently joined a company and it was nice to have access to all the information about the company, including an org chart with photos and policies ... before I even started. It was pretty easy to set up and use and now I use it every week or so

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

Sometimes the user interface is a bit clunky

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Org chart, policies, holiday tracking, objective management. Home Run has all of these things

 ### 23. Great recruitment software!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

Its a really easy to use recruitment software with great customer support!

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

The whole multistep form could use some TLC, e.g Its only validating after you submit the form instead of on each step, so you see errors of fields which are not in the current step. Also it would be nice if you could add some more fields in the form builder, e.g a intro text field or something.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It really solves the problem of having multiple tools/systems for recruitment.

 ### 24. Good but missing some field validation

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James K. | Delivery Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

It is a good place to see my organisations information and to see who my colleagues are, everything makes sense and is easy to find.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

You can't see to delete tasks within a goal which is an issue if you added one by mistake.

When adding a task to a goal it lets you submit the form but then fails to add the task unless you fill in all the fields - it doesnt tell you that it has failed or why, I had to work it out for myself. Needs valiation on the submit button to make sure users fill in all the required fields.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am an employee and it holds all my organisations policies, PDP goals etc.

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

Simple to use and understand. Having different working patterns is invaluable. Used Bamboo HR in the past which is a lot more expensive but was difficult for employees to use.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

I find it easy to use as someone who finds these things confusing to use most of the time. this is based of features being clearly labelled. Booking holidays is straight forward and quick as is booking sickness.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

The work week being set to Mon-Fri can be confusing when booking holidays until understanding but regardless confusing for my part time team

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

booking holidays, sickness and all my files which I can easily access when necessary

 ### 37. Solid Streamlined Hiring Platform with Customizable Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evgeny A. | Software Team Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

The platform is quite intuitive and user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to navigate and follow the hiring process. The platform has a very collaborative feature of streamlining the communication among team members, ensuring a smooth and efficient recruitment workflow. As well as Homerun's customizable templates/cards save time and enhance the user experience. To sum up, I would say that the combination of functionality and ease of use stands out as a major advantage.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

The reporting and analytics features can sometimes feel limited compared to more robust HR software.
The lack of customization options for creating reports makes it challenging to extract specific data.
As well as better integration with third-party tools could provide a more seamless experience across different platforms.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homerun solves the problem of candidate tracking, evaluation, and team collaboration.
This streamlines our hiring workflow, reduces administration handling, and enhances communication, ultimately saving time and improving the candidate experience.

 ### 38. A tool that facilitates collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carolina B. | Digital Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

I really enjoy how Homerun turns the recruiting process into collaborative process. Specially inside a company where you want inputs from different people and different perspectives, the features on Homerun facilitate this collaboration. I really enjoy the rating system (and being able to see your colleagues ratings) and how integrated with email templates it is, so it's all centralized in one place.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

I would like to be able to put criteria to evaluate certain candidates, and then rates base on this specific criteria. But overall it's a really nice product, no complaints!

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping centralize the application process into one single place, making teams working on the same profile, and communication with the applicant also in the same place.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

The app makes the administrative side of the hiring process super easy. Great overviews. Especfially the latest update is great!

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

No downsides, I cannot think of anything.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes the administrative part super easy. Rejecting all candidates with one mail saves a lot of work. Also adding the owners of a vacancy makes communication simple and time saving

 ### 44. homerun for small-medium sized enterprizes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

It is intuitive, easy to use and explain to new users, and easy to set up. For funnel management and creating a clear overview of (easy adaptable) stages, it is an ideal tool for smaller companies with limited internal complexity. For recruiters, the talent clipper to easily add candidates directly to the jobs, is a must have. By importing only the URL, this is still GDPR proof and ideal to screen potential candidates in one place.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

The reporting is very limited; there is an export option, but the variables to put in here, are limited to time range. Also there is no mobile app to access data or process (simple) data on the road.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it provides clear overview of candidates in process and potential candidates in the future (+ option to create to do's)

 ### 45. Simple and efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

Really easy to use and clear to see my colleagues availability

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

Nothing - works really well for us and I do not see us moving away from it any time soon.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staff holiday bookings and appraisals

 ### 46. Does what it says on the Tin

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

User Freindly, doesn't require much thinking to work things out or how to use.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

The Calender can be a bit finiky to use sometimes.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not used enough yet

 ### 47. Honest review from a people & culture operations professional

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raisa H. | People & Culture Operations Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

I love that Homerun is a low maintanance system with a low barrier to communicate with the team behind Homerun. The system is easy to navigate and we can design our own landing pages for every active job we've got online (or offline). I also like the fact that Homerun has the look and feel of a social media platform, that makes it easy and flow effort to tag, communicate and add reviews for co-workers. Last but not least it's also very convient that Homerun is linked to multiple socials to boost our engangement.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

Sometimes I'm struggling with the design and user experince of Homerun. Mostly because I'm not working with Homerun on a daily bases and the actions or icons aren't allways to easy to interpret.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not sure what's on the roadmap for the rest of 2024, so I can't answer what problems Homerun is going to solve for us and how we will benefit from them. Maybe that's also a good point of feedback that we're not sure what's on the roadmap and we're not sure what new features or updates will benefit us.

 ### 48. Homerun: The Must-Have Tool for Hiring in Any Business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ellena B. | Studio Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

I love how easy Homerun is to use. I use Homerun almost every day, and it's fantastic to have all my recruitment tools in one place. It has made hiring at Forpeople incredibly simple. Every hiring team member can easily access it and review candidates, which has truly streamlined our recruitment process.

I also love the overall look and feel—it's fun and the new illustrated icons add a much more personal touch.

Customer support is easy to contact for any issues, and I love that the team reaches out to us directly for updates and feedback. It really makes you feel involved.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

With some of the updates, I've found the layout to be a bit confusing, potentially overcomplicating certain aspects.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homerun helps us keep all our candidates in one place, making it quicker to sift through applicants since all the information is centralised. This saves both my time and the hiring team's time. Additionally, having candidates come directly into the job roles rather than manually adding them in saves even more time. Overall, I'd say Homerun is incredibly time-efficient.

 ### 49. I haven't used other hiring tools I cannot compare. It works as you would expect from a hiring tool

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

Rating, moving candidates to other stages, communication with candidates through the platform goes to the email so users feel they are just responding to their email and it goes to our platform -> the negative part is that they just start a new email (instead of responding to the thread) it will go to our spam folder

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

Users feel they are just responding to their email and it goes to our platform -> the negative part is that they just start a new email (instead of responding to the thread) it will go to our spam folder (I have experienced this from both ends as employer and as a candidate).
Some users report our messages not arriving (or ending in spam)

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Responding and managing candidates applications

 ### 50. User friendly software that helps your company stand out

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wes C. | CEO, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Homerun?**

Homerun is well-made software, with a level of polish that makes using the product intuitive and dependable. Having used multiple other applicant tracking systems, Homerun excels in how it presents and organizes information such that it is easy to use and difficult to let things slip through the cracks.

Possibly the biggest differentiating factor from my point of view is how well Homerun can help your company's job listings and application process stand out. The job listings, in particular, are modern, beautiful, and customizable—showcasing why your company is awesome to work for. Candidates we interview routinely tell us how impressive our job listings are and how that was a significant factor in choosing to apply.

With other products, we experienced bugs that manifested in ways that reflected poorly on our company. This is a big problem for companies that care about providing good experiences for their candidates. With Homerun, the product is much more stable than alternatives. Equally important, the few times we've identified bugs (which will happen with any software product), Homerun's team has resolved them promptly. This stands in contrast with other products we've tried, which would go months or years without fixing bugs.

**What do you dislike about Homerun?**

I wish Homerun offered a better way to collaborate on communication with candidates. Right now, only one member of the hiring team receives notifications when a candidate sends a reply, which means other hiring team members aren't aware of the candidate's reply. I've brought this feature request to Homerun's attention and it's something they're considering improving.

Another small grievance is that Homerun doesn't have fallback formatting for links in job listings that get sent to Indeed. We had to write some custom code to get around this issue.

**What problems is Homerun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Homerun helps us attract and hire the best talent, starting with a great first impression via modern job listings. From there, Homerun helps us provide a great experience to candidates in the interview process.
