## Forethought Reviews
  ### 1. This gets the job done, but I'm picky and would change a few things if I could.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Forethought?**

I think from an administrator standpoint, it must be nice to set up the template for an entire campus or district to use for lesson plans and to be able to access everyone's lesson plans from one place. I also really appreciate the ability to pull up the standards and add them to the lesson plan without having to search them separately and type them out. I can also easily see which standards I have covered in previous lesson plans and which ones I haven't.

**What do you dislike about Forethought?**

I am not a core subject teacher, and I actually teach music. I am also diagnosed with ADHD, and have strategies that help me to plan when it comes to lesson plans, as well as a different structure for my lesson plans than the rest of the teachers. I wish the lesson plan editing was a little more user friendly and customizable, and I wish there were more options for printing as well. I would like to be able to put boxes intended for me to write notes and announcements when I print my lesson plans- but you cannot add shapes. I also would like to be able to have columns so I could put on one side what piece of music I am working on and on the other side I can put what the goals/teaching points/TEKS related to that piece we would cover that day.

**What problems is Forethought solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The district is able to submit lesson plans all in the same place, using the format designed for us by our administrators. I can also look back on previous years lesson plans to know what we worked on at certain times in the previous years.

I would suggest to watch tutorial videos on how to use this product.

**What problems is Forethought solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the issue of having my lesson plans organized and all in one place. I love sharing my plans with other teachers and I love the copy and paste feature of Forethought as well.

One program which addresses multiple needs. We used this program to document for SPED 504 lesson plans and review test dats

**What do you dislike about Forethought?**

There is nothing I can suggest at this time to improve the product.

**What problems is Forethought solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Glad I could copy. Previous lesson plans and share my planner with colleagues

  ### 6. Great for lesson planning

Having the ability to share lesson plans

**What do you dislike about Forethought?**

Not being able to remove shared users who've left the company

**What problems is Forethought solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Forethought allows teachers to lesson plan and share those plans with ease. You can easily copy and paste lessons, move lessons and print lessons.

  ### 7. Easy Lesson Planning Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Forethought?**

I like that you can easily share plans between coworkers. It's very simple to set up and view each other's plans. I also like that you can add a lesson plan template depending on what your school uses and it's automatically there ready to go. I also really like that your guides, standards, and other district resources are on the tool bar and easily accessible. If your district allows, you can easily click on instructional guides and paste those into the lesson planner.

**What do you dislike about Forethought?**

I think it could be more collaborative. I work with a team teacher and it would be nice to be able to have the same plan and edit it on both of our accounts. You can set up another planner and do it that way, but then you have to paste it into your own account. I think it is a little redundant. It can also be a little slow and finicky.

**Recommendations to others considering Forethought:**

It is a great tool and I think they're headed in the right direction. It's very simple to add lesson plans and to view others' plans if you team teach. It's a great tool for administrators because they can easily view everyone's plans in one place.

**What problems is Forethought solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows for an entire district's plans to be in one place to be monitored and shared. It allows for collaboration between schools and even teammates. It also helps that all of the resources can easily be uploaded and viewed into the planner instead of having different things in different places.

  ### 8. Good idea, clunky interface.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Forethought?**

I liked the main idea of Forethought. Being able to see all my classes' lessons on one screen was helpful, and there was a feature for team-planning. If you wanted to do your lesson in Word, you could attach it to your lesson. Many class subjects had their state standards ready to click and input into each lesson. Administrators could leave feedback directly in the lessons.

**What do you dislike about Forethought?**

It felt like a burden to try to copy plans from the team planner to my planner, or from my planner to the team planner, or from one day to another. Also, the state standards were supposedly easy to click and place in the lessons, but for my subject and grade level, they were the old standards from 10 years ago, with no way to update them. Our campus and district administrators were unable to view and had trouble seeing lessons. It became such a problem and took up so much of the technologists and principals time, we were asked to abandon it. We still have access to it, we are still allowed to use it, but we are not submitting lesson plans through Forethought any longer.

**Recommendations to others considering Forethought:**

It is a product headed in the right direction, but with a lot of bugs in the system.

**What problems is Forethought solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you are able to get past its interface, it has a team lesson planner feature that allows multiple teachers to access the same lessons.

  ### 9. Lesson Planning Software

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanya S. | Engineering Teacher and TSA Sponsor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Forethought?**

I like that my TEKS automatically populate for my classes so it is a point and click system to get the TEKS on my plans.

**What do you dislike about Forethought?**

I dislike how difficult it is to do a unit plan for multiple days. I teach with project based learning and it is not conducive to my planning.

**Recommendations to others considering Forethought:**

If you do unit planning this is not the software for you.

**What problems is Forethought solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is an excellent way for administrators to view lesson plans.

  ### 10. Great for organizing lesson plans

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan S. | Teacher/Coach, Sports, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Forethought?**

Forethought is great for me to get my lesson plans in place and posted each week for classes.

**What do you dislike about Forethought?**

Some aspects of editing forethought lesson plans could be improved.

**What problems is Forethought solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing lesson plans and having easy access to them. Copy items and placing links to items is a plus.

  ### 11. Eduphoria Forethought Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Forethought?**

The ability to share with others is the best aspect. My team has to only share their Forethought with me once, and then I have access to it as long as they are working for my school. I can easily toggle between the teachers I manage to check their progress.

**What do you dislike about Forethought?**

Some of the tools are counterintuitive. For example, the set up of the scheduling can be challenging. We have a complicated schedule (rotating A and B days), so the initial setup is challenging, but once it is set up, you do not have to set it up again until the following school year.

**Recommendations to others considering Forethought:**

Forethought is an easy tool to share the progress of those using it and it always easy management of numerous people.

**What problems is Forethought solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a manager of 10 teachers, I use Forethought to keep track of their daily lesson plans to make sure they are following the curriculum pacing guide. I am able to view a week of their plans at a time, which makes it easy for me to manage their progress. My teachers are also able to copy their own lesson plans on various days or copy another teacher's lesson plans to save valuable time. Forethought also has the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) saved. This aspect saves teachers a lot of time because they can search for the TEKS they are teaching that lesson, select it, and save it to their lesson plans, again saving them time while using Forethought.

  ### 12. Seems to be on track

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Forethought?**

I like that it has the texas standard tens aligned and ready to use for implementing.

**What do you dislike about Forethought?**

I don't like that it doesn't always work properly when clicking on the teks.

**Recommendations to others considering Forethought:**

Make sure to get training on using the product

**What problems is Forethought solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not solving any at the moment but I see it going in the right direction, a good amount of training on it will be wonderful

  ### 13. Great for lesson planning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

I love how standards for each course is embedded within the program!

**What do you dislike about Forethought?**

Not all courses are represented in our school district

**What problems is Forethought solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cohesive planning among conntent areas
