"Feature-Rich, Versatile Database Client for Developers"
What do you like best about DBeaver?

DBeaver is a robust, open-source database client that offers excellent usability for developers and data engineers working with multiple databases. Its greatest asset is the extensive range of features it provides. The tool supports nearly all major databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and MongoDB, all within a single application. Setting it up is straightforward: installation is easy, establishing connections is fast, and the user interface remains consistent regardless of the database type. Backend developers who work with databases daily will find themselves using DBeaver frequently. Additionally, its free and cross-platform nature is a significant benefit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DBeaver?

The interface often feels heavy and cluttered, particularly for newcomers, which affects the overall user experience and ease of use. When working with very large schemas or complex queries, performance can suffer. Additionally, certain advanced features, such as cloud integrations and enterprise-level security options, are only available in the paid edition. For those using the free version, customer support is primarily community-driven, which might not meet the requirements of enterprise users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great all-in-one SQL tool for everyday database work"
What do you like best about DBeaver?

DBeaver is super handy when working with multiple databases. It supports a wide range of DB types (like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.), so I don’t need to switch tools. The UI is clean and beginner-friendly, and I really like features like the ER diagram viewer, query auto-complete, and data export options. It makes running and organizing queries much easier, especially when dealing with large datasets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DBeaver?

It can feel a bit slow or heavy at times, especially when working with large tables or opening multiple tabs. Also, some advanced settings are buried and not very intuitive. The initial setup for some databases can be a bit tricky if you’re new. But overall, once it’s running, it works really well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent SQL Tool for Effortless Data Exploration"
What do you like best about DBeaver?

It's a great SQL tool that lets you view source data without having to commit to implementing data via etl's. We use a cloud based data source to house our data but I use DBeaver to check and view certain data sources before committing to pulling it all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DBeaver?

It's really complicated to get certain oracle integrations set up, but once it's complete, you don't have a lot of complexity afterwards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless DB Operations, Smooth User Experience"
What do you like best about DBeaver?

I like the ease of use through DBeaver's UI. You don't have to write a single SQL query, as you can do everything through the tool's UI with just clicks. I also appreciate the speed of commits to the database and the refreshing of data. It makes filtering through thousands of records quick and efficient. The initial setup was very easy and straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DBeaver?

The UI flow can be smoother, sometimes it feels like using a tool from Windows XP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DBeaver a robust and flexible tool"
What do you like best about DBeaver?

Connects to virtually any major database with JDBC drivers. Rich Feature Set: Includes ER diagrams, visual query builders, data editing, SQL editor with autocompletion, and export/import tools.Dbeaver can run on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

The community edition offers a lot of functionality for free, with a paid version for advanced enterprise features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DBeaver?

Can Be Resource heavy especially when working with large databases or multiple active connections. By default, DBeaver allows editing of query results in the result grid. While this is convenient for making quick changes, it can be risky when working with live PostgreSQL databases, as accidental edits can affect the actual data. It’s recommended to disable this or use it cautiously in production environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
