I’ve mainly used Bitbucket to manage our automation framework and collaborate with the team on code changes. It’s been a reliable place to keep everything properly version-controlled, whether that’s Playwright scripts, API automation, or broader framework updates.

What I especially like is how straightforward it is to create branches, open pull requests, and review changes before anything gets merged. That workflow helps keep the codebase organized and reduces the risk of people accidentally overwriting each other’s work. I enjoy using Bitbucket because it's an easy way to commit and push code. I like the MCP servers that allow us to connect to AI apps like Codex or Claude Code and pull all information seamlessly. I appreciate the ability to merge the code via CI/CD pipelines, which makes integration smoother. What stands out for me is how easy it is to set up CI/CD using Bitbucket Pipelines. Everything is defined in a single bitbucket-pipelines.yml, so once it’s in place, pushes to a branch can automatically trigger deployments without needing extra tools.

I have been using Bitbucket for some time now, it's been quite effective and very suitable for my day-to-day usage. Creating branches, initiating pull request, review of code works very nicely without much of a hassle and makes the project quite organized and manageable when you have several team members. One thing that did come to mind was that it could be a little slow at times especially with larger repositories and this although not a major issue could be felt when under pressure at work, The UI although fairly plain is not unpleasant but perhaps could have been made slightly more modern. Bitbucket is deeply integrated with Jira and helps us work much faster. We can create development branches and pull requests right from the Jira interface, and then continue working from there. When PRs are merged, it also helps automate the related Jira ticket updates.

While bitbucket is down sometimes that downgrades it performance and make our work slow.

The Design of the Bitbucket has recently changed and is very good dark mode adds more in it.
