# Which Quote-to-Cash software enables accurate revenue recognition and ASC 606 compliance for a finance team that cannot afford to get deferred revenue reporting wrong?

We're exploring how finance teams handle the revenue recognition side of quote-to-cash, where getting deferred revenue or ASC 606 reporting wrong isn't an option. The question is which quote-to-cash software reliably supports accurate revenue recognition and ASC 606 compliance for a finance team under that kind of pressure. What I'm hoping to find:

Revenue recognition that runs off the same data as quoting and billing, not a separate re-entry

Automation that reduces manual work on deferred revenue schedules

Reporting a finance team can trust and audit

Room to scale as subscription and usage models get more complex

For finance folks, is your revenue recognition running inside your quote-to-cash platform, or handed off to a separate accounting tool? And if you went through an ASC 606 implementation, what did you wish the software did better on deferred revenue?

Keeping revenue recognition on the same data as quoting and billing removes the re-entry, which is the case reviewers make for running it inside the platform rather than a separate accounting tool. Zuora gets cited for ASC 606 and deferred-revenue automation, though the caveat is that reporting flexibility can need extra tooling.
