# Which mobile advertising platforms give advertisers measurement transparency independent of walled-garden networks like Google?

Question for the mobile advertising reviewers and researchers here. Which mobile advertising platforms actually give advertisers measurement transparency that doesn't depend on walled-garden networks like Google, Meta, or TikTok?

Every DSP says it is independent. The harder test is what you can pull out of the platform after a campaign runs: log-level data, a conversion count you can check against your own analytics, and a reason for the numbers that isn't "the algorithm decided."

I've been going through the Mobile Advertising Software category on G2 with that test in mind. Three names keep coming up: The Trade Desk for open-web scale, Basis for spend-to-invoice visibility, and Innovid for measuring from the ad server instead of from the seller. A fourth, Simpli.fi, belongs here if store visits are your conversion.

The Trade Desk (4.4/5, 175+ reviews): Buy-side only, owns no media, and runs on UID2 rather than a walled garden's ID. Reviewers on G2 name targeting and transparency as its strongest point, and score it 0.90 on Fraud Protection and 0.86 on Custom Reports in G2's feature data. Trade-off: the most repeated complaint is the steep learning curve and high minimum spend, so it is a poor fit for small campaigns.

Basis (4.5/5, 285+ reviews): Offers log-level data (impressions, clicks, views, conversions) and reconciles delivered numbers against billing inside the same platform, which is where discrepancies usually hide. Trade-off: Custom Reports scores 0.76, the lowest in this group, and several reviewers say built-in reporting could be more granular. The raw data is there; the ready-made views are thinner.

Innovid (4.1/5, 370+ reviews): An independent ad server, so it counts delivery directly from the inventory source rather than taking the seller's number. Merged with Flashtalking under Mediaocean in 2025 and added source-level attribution down to publisher and app in April 2026. Trade-off: it sits alongside your DSP rather than replacing it, and reviewers cite a long learning curve and slow support responses.

Simpli.fi (4.5/5, 150+ reviews): Highest Mobile Tracking score of the four at 0.91. Store-level attribution uses actual GPS device data, and its geo-conversion lift metric compares exposed households against unexposed ones. Trade-off: the most common complaint from reviewers is a lack of clarity in pricing and reporting, which is an odd note for a transparency shortlist and worth pressing on in a demo.

Oh this is the classic "don't let the network grade its own homework" problem. The tools built around independent measurement are what you want. Innovid stands out here, it's an independent ad-serving and measurement platform (strong in video and CTV) that isn't tied to a single walled garden, so the numbers aren't self-reported by the ad seller. MediaMath (now Infillion) is an independent DSP, and Skai does independent, cross-channel measurement and optimization across networks. To be really honest, for true transparency I'd also pair whatever you pick with a dedicated third-party verification vendor like DoubleVerify or Integral Ad Science, since independent verification is really their whole job. What's the goal, cross-network measurement you can trust, or fraud and viewability verification specifically?
