# Which insurance compliance systems update themselves when regulatory requirements change across different states?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Rules change quietly. A renewal fee moves, a line of authority is redefined, and nobody tells the spreadsheet. So which<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/insurance-compliance"> </a><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/insurance-compliance">insurance compliance</a> systems update themselves when regulatory requirements change across different states? Worth separating what "updates itself" can mean:</p><ul>
<li>Regulatory content maintained by the vendor, so rules change without you editing them</li>
<li>Live status pulled from the source of record rather than typed in</li>
<li>Requirement templates that update, versus templates you own and maintain</li>
<li>An audit trail showing what the rule was on the date a decision was made</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Three systems and how they handle it:</p><ul>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/agentsync/reviews"><strong>AgentSync</strong></a> manages producer licensing and appointments with real-time status and a maintained compliance library, so renewals and rule changes are tracked for you rather than watched by your team. Reviewers report spending far less time on licensing, and note that some licence types, including adjusters, are not yet covered.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/mycoi/reviews"><strong>myCOI</strong></a> puts insurance specialists behind the review, which is how interpretation changes get applied to certificates rather than waiting for a software update. Its requirement library is customisable, which also means somebody needs to own it.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/bcs-bcs/reviews"><strong>bcs</strong></a> offers self-service and full-service models, so teams can either maintain requirements themselves or hand that to the vendor. Reviewers mention a lag before some certificate information refreshes in the system.</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">For anyone who has been audited on this: did the system hold up as your record of what the rule was at the time?</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p>

&lt;p&gt;We got audited last year and the record AgentSync kept of what a rule was on a given date held up fine. The auditor cared more about having a clear timestamp on when something changed than about the interpretation itself.&lt;/p&gt;
