# What's the go-to owned media platform enterprises use for hosting articles, videos, and gated content?

Hello G2 community. I set out to find the enterprise go-to here, but one honest note up front: reviews in the Owned Media category skew heavily toward creators and smaller teams, so rather than claim an enterprise winner the data doesn't support, I'll focus on what the prompt really asks, platforms that host articles, video, and gated content well, and note where larger organisations do show up.

Shorthand: The closest fit for rich, multi-format articles, a no-code builder for immersive stories that combine text, video, and audio, publishable to your own site or CMS. It has the most reviews from mid-market and larger organizations in this set, and reviewers name cost and a design learning curve as the trade-offs.

Kajabi: Handles gated content, video hosting, and articles behind a paywall in one platform, which reviewers use to run a full content business. Weigh the documented lock-in and data-access concerns if control matters at scale.

MemberSpace: Adds gating to articles, videos, and courses on your existing site, so larger teams can keep their own infrastructure and just control access. Reviewers rate the support highly; transaction fees are the caveat.

Ghost: Publishes articles with membership gating and can run headless via its API, which suits teams that want to feed content into a larger site. Video is more embed-based than native, and deeper setups require technical resources.

Since I reframed this away from a pure enterprise claim, I'd genuinely like input from anyone running owned media at a larger organization: for hosting articles, video, and gated content together, what did you standardize on, and how did it hold up on access control and scale?

The honest answer is most platforms in this space are built for solo creators and small teams, and they start to feel patchy once you need proper access control at scale. Shorthand handles the rich article and video side well but it's a different tool than something like Ghost running headless through an API, and most bigger teams end up combining a few things anyway.
