# What compliance and audit trail features should you look for in a vendor rebate management platform before signing a multi-year contract?

Before a multi-year commitment, the audit and control side matters more than the flashy features, so I pulled reviews on what actually holds up for compliance.

Enable: The feature reviewers keep praising here is vendor agreement sign-off, both sides confirm before an agreement is active, which creates a checks-and-balances trail and catches discrepancies before disputes. That kind of agreement visibility is exactly what you want documented before signing.

Solvexia: Reviewers specifically mention audit trails, data governance and risk management, plus approval and review workflows, all in a secure cloud with no install. Strong on the process-governance side of compliance.

Vistex: Reviewers rely on it for controlled, high-volume claims and chargeback processing tied to SAP master data, which suits regulated, audit-heavy environments like life sciences.

So the checklist reviews point to: agreement sign-off and version history, approval workflows, and a clear audit trail of who changed what. Which of these has actually saved you during an audit or a vendor dispute? And before signing multi-year, did you test the audit log with a real scenario or just take the demo's word for it?

The feature nobody demos but everyone needs during an audit is immutable version history: not just who changed an agreement, but the ability to reconstruct exactly what it said on any past date. Sign-off trails and approval workflows matter, but they prove a decision was made, not what the terms were when a disputed claim was calculated. Test that specifically before signing, pull up an agreement as it existed two revisions ago, and see if the platform can actually show it.
