# What are the best application performance monitoring (APM) platforms for mid-market organizations that require real-time visibility?

&lt;p&gt;For mid-market teams, I’d look closely at alert quality rather than just how quickly the platform detects something. Real-time visibility loses value if engineers spend the first ten minutes sorting through five alerts generated by the same dependency failure. The stronger test is whether the APM tool connects those symptoms well enough that the first alert points the team toward the likely cause.&lt;/p&gt;
