Woven Video
Woven Video is a native Mac video editor that pairs an AI chat with a multi-track timeline. Users edit their own footage by describing changes in chat, then refine clips, captions, effects and audio by hand on the timeline and canvas. It is a full editor for long and short video, including YouTube videos, podcasts, Shorts, Reels, product demos and ads, with 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and custom canvases. For long recordings, Woven finds key moments and cuts each into a clip, removes silences and filler words in one step, and reframes landscape video to vertical with the speaker in frame. It also has 12 native effects, shapes, freehand drawing, text animation, color controls and 35 sound effects. Captions and generated images, video, music and voiceover use credits. AI apps that can run commands on the user's Mac, such as Claude Code and Codex, can edit in Woven through a local MCP server. Exports are H.264 MP4 at 1080p, or 1440p from the Export button. Requires macOS 15 or later. Captions come in five modes (Highlight, Subtitle, Word by word, Word in place and Progressive reveal) and are burned into the export. Text overlays have entrance, exit and loop animations, with Outline, Shadow, Glow and Gradient looks. The timeline supports transitions between clips, keyframes for position, size, rotation and opacity, masks, groups, and audio mixing with fades, ducks, swells and volume control. Workspaces are plain folders on the Mac that hold footage, audio, scripts and reels. Users can also browse images and videos together in chat and attach any asset as a reference.
