Question on: Brevo Marketing Platform
[Simplification of verification](/discussions/simplification-of-verification)

Instead of the current verification system wouldn't it be easier to ask for a credit card code with the guarantee of not charging anything unless user-specified?

Hey Manuel, thanks for your excellent question. I'm not super positive what verification system you're referring to, but if you're thinking of spam checks, unfortunately criminals are often the first to pay, assuming if they pay we'll have to let them send phishing or spam emails... There isn't really a way around this and most ESPs actually have very similar checks. We just decided to be transparent about it for everyone at Sendinblue as we believe spam is also a matter of education in some cases.

Question on: Brevo Marketing Platform
[Why import contacts directly from an existing mailing list](/discussions/16261-why-import-contacts-directly-from-an-existing-mailing-list)

Why import contacts directly from an existing mailing list, I want to know your reasons why you can't

It is possible to import the opt in data, as I imported one list and then had errors when sending mail as there wasn't evidence of opt in. My other list is from mail chimp and I have opt in data for it and want to bring that across if possible?

Answered: Kim Griffin on July 3, 2020

You can import contacts from an existing mailing list. You can upload a file csv or txt from your computer. You can copy and paste the contacts from an excel file too. You have to click on "Contacts" and then, you have to click on the blue bottom "Import contacts". You have these options that I told you there. Good luck!

Question on: Brevo Marketing Platform
[How effective and quick it is to set up automation for marketing campaigns?](/discussions/12691-how-effective-and-quick-it-is-to-set-up-automation-for-marketing-campaigns)

We are planning to kick-start the automation of our marketing initiatives based on user journey within our system that will be triggered through profile attributes. So any input on what should e kept in mind along with do's and dont's would help.

Hey Saurabh, thanks for opening this discussion! When setting up automations, it's generally a good idea to map everything out before you start diving into the scenarios and building your flows. The reason for that is it will help you split your automation logic the right way, into a number of scenarios, hopefully with the right "exit - condition" (i.e. conversion) at each step. Another good thing to have in mind is the way you interact with your website / app. It's usually a good idea to use product-based triggers rather than CRM attributes. Here's why: because automation is extremely time-sensitive, and because CRM attributes are usually not updated in real-time but with a sort of batch logic, you'll have to constantly think of the delays needed to ensure you have the right information in your Sendinblue attributes at the moment of checking. Hope this helps! We have a lot of tutorials and stuff for automation, feel free to have a look! https://help.sendinblue.com/hc/en-us/categories/201054185-Automation
