What are the features of a Raspberry Pi?
1. GPIO Pins: Raspberry Pi boards have General-Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) pins, which allow for connecting and controlling various electronic components, such as sensors, buttons, LEDs, and motors. These pins enable physical computing and interfacing with the physical world.
2. Processor and Memory: Raspberry Pi boards are equipped with a CPU (Central Processing Unit) and RAM (Random Access Memory) to handle computing tasks. The specific processor and memory capacity may vary across different Raspberry Pi models, with newer models offering more powerful processors and increased memory.
3. Operating System: Raspberry Pi supports various operating systems, including Linux distributions like Raspbian (now known as Raspberry Pi OS), Ubuntu, and others. These operating systems provide a familiar environment for running applications and managing the board.
4. Connectivity: Raspberry Pi boards typically include several connectivity options, such as USB ports for connecting peripherals like keyboards, mice, and external storage devices. They also offer Ethernet ports for wired network connectivity and built-in Wi-Fi for wireless networking.
5. Video Output: Raspberry Pi boards have HDMI or composite video outputs, allowing users to connect them to monitors, TVs, or projectors. This enables the use of the Raspberry Pi as a mini desktop computer or media player.
