You can't, really. getting out of the contract requires buying it out, which means paying the entire balance of monthly charges for the remainder of the contract. You're going to pay for it whether you receive the service or not, so you may as well ride it out. just pay attention to the contract end date as there is a narrow window to cancel. However, if you want to notify them that you do not want to auto-renew, you should be able to do that at any time. You may have to do that in writing though.

The service is good, but their business model is not. i suppose if you were planning on having the service over a short period, it would be fine. But the minimum contract length is 3 years, and it auto-renews every 3 years thereafter. The problem is, they charge a higher rate than anyone, but they justify that by saying they own the devices and the end customer is renting the devices as part of the service. Over the life of the contract, however, we wound up paying many, many times the cost of the devices in that higher monthly fee. it is better to bite the bullet and pay for the devices up front and pay a lower sub fee with someone else.

Yes, we have that problem too. did they ask you to sign a contract extension too? the reason for this is technically they aren't selling you the units. they still own the units and they are letting you use them or renting them to you as part of the service. if you ever cancel, you will have to buy the units.
