Question on: GeoHECRAS
What is HEC-RAS used for?
What is HEC-RAS used for?
Hydrologic Engineering Center's River Analysis System or HEC-RAS is a software that allows the user to perform one-dimensional steady flow, one and two-dimensional unsteady flow calculations, sediment transport/mobile bed computations, and water temperature/water quality modeling.
Some areas of application of HEC-RAS include:
Floodplain management
Flood insurance studies to evaluate floodway encroachments
Designing and analyzing bridges and culverts
Levee modeling and breach analysis
Dam breach analysis

Question on: Civil 3D
Is Civil 3d a BIM?
Is Civil 3d a BIM?
It can work with BIM
Se puede catalogar como un software BIM ya que del modelo obtienes los planos y los datos , sin embargo la interoperatibilidad solo la puedes hacer con Revit ya que sus habilidades de generar un archivo IFC son muy pobres.

Question on: OpenRoads Designer
Which software is used for highway design?
Which software is used for highway design?
The most commonly used highway design software is developed by Bentley and Autodesk.
Bentley’s OpenRoads Designer is a comprehensive and fully functioned detailed design application for surveying, drainage, subsurface utilities, and roadway design that supersedes all capabilities previously delivered through InRoads, GEOPAK, MX, and PowerCivil.
Autodesk Civil 3D software provides workflows for the design of roadways and bridges, leveraging 3D modeling of Civil 3D features such as alignments and corridors.
