The most commonly used highway design software is developed by Bentley and Autodesk. Bentley’s OpenRoads Designer is a comprehensive and fully functioned detailed design application for surveying, drainage, subsurface utilities, and roadway design that supersedes all capabilities previously delivered through InRoads, GEOPAK, MX, and PowerCivil. Autodesk Civil 3D software provides workflows for the design of roadways and bridges, leveraging 3D modeling of Civil 3D features such as alignments and corridors.
