Sesame’s cloud is strictly for managed backup and recovery of Salesforce data, and there is no customer access to the database. Customers have complete access to the database in on-premise or private cloud deployments, enabling data warehouse access for reporting and integration. A Relational Junction server must be on the same local network or data center as a traditional database. There is no such proximity restriction for API-based data.
