The biggest upside of using Wherefour has been the simplicity of the system. We moved a production facility that had never used an ERP system before, so it was very important that we implement something the team could realistically learn, adopt, and use in their day-to-day work. Wherefour has helped us create structure without overwhelming the team. Inventory control and purchasing have also become much easier to see and manage. Our purchasing department now has better visibility into what we have on hand, what is being used, and what needs to be reordered, which has allowed them to make much more informed decisions. It has also helped reduce the amount of guessing and tribal knowledge that previously drove many of our decisions. Beyond that, Wherefour has given us a stronger system of record for production, inventory, ordering, and traceability. It has helped create more accountability across departments because information is no longer living in someone’s head, in scattered spreadsheets, or through verbal communication. The system gives our team one shared place to work from, which has improved communication between production, purchasing, warehouse, and customer support.
