I use Timeliner to manage our workflow from an idea through creating and editing content to client reviews and approvals before posting. I like that clients can see the work and give feedback and approvals more easily, and that our workflow and tracking what we owe creators and editors are all in one place. The software covers a lot, but its simplicity makes things easy, and I keep it open on my desktop almost 24/7. I really like the flexibility and that the Timeliner team takes client feedback into account. I don’t feel like just a number with a bigger platform. I also like the board for seeing how long an edit or project is taking, and the internal deadlines. Setup was quite easy, and we could add clients gradually.

I use Timeliner to organise our workflow for social media property edits, share revisions with clients, and keep feedback in one place instead of using multiple platforms. I like being able to add empty tasks to track jobs that still need to be done, and I can see projects from filming through editing, approval, and posting. I also like the WhatsApp notifications for notifying clients, and integrating Claude is cool. Setup was fairly easy—8/10.

I like the clarity around project status and where things are in the pipeline. The visibility helps keep my multidisciplinary team in different countries in sync. Timeliner also helps with context switching, project continuity, feedback loops, asset sharing, and sharing projects between editors. I found the initial setup good.
