Everything sits in one platform instead of several separate provider portals. The part that changed my day-to-day most is that I no longer handle receipts myself. Employees upload them in the app, Salfy's own OCR and AI check every single receipt against the applicable tax rules, and in the admin cockpit I only see the resulting status. Benefits and budgets can be set per employee or per group rather than as one flat setup for everyone. The payroll-relevant data is handed over already prepared, so nobody has to assemble a spreadsheet at the end of the month. Support is staffed by people who actually know payroll and tax treatment, which matters more than I expected.
I like the app for employees the best. Everyone can see their own budget, upload receipts directly, and book services without an email landing in our HR department. Since its introduction, inquiries have seemingly halved.

For me, the biggest point is that all the administrative hassle simply disappears. Previously, we collected receipts via email, maintained them in Excel, and manually handed them over to payroll every month – today, meal subsidies, non-cash benefits, and job tickets are completely managed through the platform and automatically end up in the payroll. Salfy handles the receipt verification itself, which was the biggest time saver for us.
I also like that we no longer have to feel uncertain about payroll taxes. The allowances are properly monitored and everything is documented in compliance with GoBD – during the last audit, we could simply export the logs, which was much more relaxed than before.
The employees get along well with the app, we hardly had to explain anything. And if a special tax question does come up, you actually get a well-founded answer from support and not just a link to the FAQ.
Salfy GmbH develops and operates Salfy, a benefits platform for everything companies pay their employees beyond salary: meal allowances, commuting, mobility, health, childcare and company-specific extras. Its mission is to take benefit administration off HR and payroll teams and keep every step documented and payroll-ready, so benefits work in practice and not just on paper.
