PlanGuru has enabled me to avoid budgeting in Excel, most importantly. Excel can work, but in my experience, it is too easy to make mistakes once you get into modeling multiple scenarios and utilize a lot of formulas. Also, PlanGuru adds a ton of reporting and the ability to budget at the beginning of the year and then have a separate forecast that I can adjust throughout the year based on recent performance. Additionally, using PlanGuru, I can dig into my budget and easily forecast on a per GL account, which I found difficult to maintain in Excel. Lastly, I can tell the tool was built with flexibility in mind, with lots of configuration available and even the ability to report directly in Excel, allowing me to continue to utilize Excel for those times when the canned reports are not enough to meet the need. The support offered by the PanGuru team has been outstanding. I rarely receive emails from a software company volunteering to provide support. They genuinely want their users to get the most out of their product.

The product is intuitive and easy to navigate. I like that if gives you the ability upload the COA from multiple accounting softwares. Video training is also exceptional.
