A very simple system to use that has saved me a ton of time on month end entries for prepaids and revenue recognition. Implemented in a matter of minutes for 10 of my clients that have revenue deferrals that are all now automated. As long as I remember "for the period of", the system works effortlessly in the background, and has nice lapsing schedules for prepaids and deferred revenue. Every have a questions, they are super responsive.

I can go from cash basis to accrual basis only using a sentence. It makes the process so painless and easy + we get auto-reconciled reports at the end of the month.

I have to give Accruer the smallest possible amount of information necessary in order for it to perform what would otherwise be a multi-JE, complicated workflow. I don't have to leave QuickBooks Online to use it; I just enter "for the period of December 16, 2024 to February 15, 2025" into the memo of the bill, or invoice, or whatever, and Accruer books all the downstream entries. If I update or even delete the parent entry, all the relevant entries snap into place within seconds with no further action from me. Once I integrated it for one of my clients and learned how to use it, the next 50 were easy to implement. As with FinOptimal's other products, if I ever hit a snag, their customer success team is highly responsive and gives thoughtful answers. I use this product constantly for probably 80% of my client base. It's rare that an accounting product buys me this much time back. I can tell it was built by an accountant.
