I recently tried EasyStaff Connect for the first time and overall, I’m pretty happy with the experience! I found a gig quickly. The pay was not too much, and I was not hopeful I would be able to withdraw this much right away, given how difficult international payments sometimes get. I was really ready to wait till some more money is stuck up in my account. And I was absolutely surprised when I got all of my $60 straight to my card in one sitting! Furthermore, I noticed the competition wasn’t overwhelming, which was a nice surprise as a newcomer. My account was empty pretty much, apart from a portfolio (I am a freelance copywriter and that supplements my corporate career). That said, I do think that the connection between EasyStaff Connect (the freelance service) and two other branches is confusing. I logged into EasyStaff Connect, but my account somehow ended up being in EasyStaff Payroll. I even had to log out and log back a couple of times just to double-check.

I've been poking around EasyStaff Connect for a couple weeks now, and I am getting a mixed opinion now. As a lead product designer, I see great potential in hiring talent globally, so I’m keen to try new platforms. The real game-changer here is that it’s totally free for companies to post projects wich is a huge plus to me. The interface is clean and pretty intuitive to use, which is definitely important to me, since I value good design even in platforms I use to find designers. I see they have recently updated their website (now it’s called Connect), but the UI has not changed yet - i’m really looking forward to it! Now, the drawback – and it’s a pretty significant one right now – is the size of the talent pool. I posted three different tasks and ended up seeing a lot of the same faces applying. Like, almost the same six or so people for each project. Definitely not ideal when you’re trying to get diverse workforce. Overall, EasyStaff Connect has potential. If they can ramp up their freelancer base, especially in niche areas like UX, UI, and animation, I will definitely view it as my go-to source.
