As a network and network security engineer managing a large, diverse environment, what I appreciate most about BackBox is how effortlessly it integrates with devices from multiple vendors. There’s no need to write custom scripts or rely on other teams for support. BackBox comes with a rich library of pre‑built templates for all major vendors, so setting up automated, reliable backups takes only a few clicks. It removes complexity and gives you consistent, scalable backups across the entire infrastructure.

I like that BackBox has a great dashboard that's easy to use and understand. The newer version has an easy setup that allows us to build out automations. It's like a single pane of glass, so we can log in and make sure all the devices are being backed up and compliant. The initial setup was fairly easy, just needing to set up the credentials to log in to devices and pull the backups. BackBox is very easy to work with and very open to ideas and suggestions, always pushing to improve.

I love the nightly config backups feature of BackBox. It gives me peace of mind knowing every router, firewall, and switch is backed up with a clean snapshot every night, which is especially helpful when unexpected changes occur. The bulk config push is another feature I appreciate, as it simplifies updating multiple devices swiftly. The vulnerability scanning capability is also valuable, as it identified a CVE on our edge firewalls even before our last pen test.
