The overall experience using Amazon Mechanical Turk has been good.

The best thing about Amazon Mechanical Turk is that you can actually filter based on the users age and gender, which allows for targeting certain population for your surveys. This great feature allowed me to send the survey only to the elderly community, which is the population of interest in my research. In addition, you can select the amount of money that you want to pay to the people that actually fill the surveys, which is really good since you are not force into paying any set amount.

When i learned of Amazon Mechanical Turk, then signed up, I Fell in Love.

I love completing Surveys for research projects. How i can cash out to my bank account within 2 days. Also how they have other software to keep tabs on assignments based off my profile.

Lots of opportunities, but low-paying

The surveys are easy to administer and I can collect data pretty quickly. I can also get relatively diverse samples in terms of race, income, age, and gender; this is different from work I might typically do with college students.

What is Amazon's Mechanical Turk?

Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) is a crowdsourcing platform that enables businesses and developers to access a scalable workforce to perform tasks that require human intelligence. These tasks, known as Human Intelligence Tasks (HITs), can include a variety of activities such as data validation, content moderation, and survey participation. Businesses can leverage MTurk to improve efficiency and reduce costs by outsourcing these tasks to a distributed workforce, while workers, often called "Turkers," can earn income by completing them. MTurk is accessible via its website, [mturk.com](https://www.mturk.com), where users can sign up as either requesters or workers.
