Great tool for collecting data very quickly
The best feature has been the ability to set specific criteria for who can participate in the listing (such as having to have complete at least 100 prior HITS, having a 95% approval rating, geographic location, age, work status, etc etc.). You have to pay extra for these screenings (per participant) which can really add up but it is necessary in order to get usable data. Data is also gathered EXTREMELY quickly on MTurk, especially if you pay participants a reasonable amount. We have collected quality information on 500 people over night.

It's great to make enough money in order to make purchases
Some short tasks are easy and quick to work on. I also like the fact that there are payment options, either in Amazon gift cards or directly to the bank account.

Easy to use
I think I like the ease of use and the layout of Amazon Mechanical Turk. I also like that there are so many users and you can get results pretty quick. It is very user friendly for both the workers and the requestors.
