What I like most about Yardi Voyager is how it keeps property management, accounting, and tenant info all together in one system. It makes tracking payments and reports much easier then doing it manual. The dashboard can be confusing at first but after some time it becomes easier to use. One thing I dont like about Yardi Voyager is that it can feel very slow sometimes especially when loading reports or large amounts of data. The system also looks outdated and not very user friendly for new users. Some tasks takes too many steps to complete and finding certain options can be frustrating. I like that Yardi Voyager is easy to navigate. The new dashboards are great because they allow for a high-level review of different metrics, which is really helpful. I also find it very convenient for our tenants as it makes paying monthly rents online easy and takes the manual recording process out of the hands of our accountants. There are a lot of settings within Yardi that one has to learn and navigate. The help menus or the descriptions can be lacking and we are always having to submit a case just to understand what or where something is. For menu items, Yardi should give you definitions or explanations of what a setting does. It is hard to figure out what setting or permission does what based off a 1-2 word name. Giving details of the permission would make things easier. Very complex initial setup. The software offers a centralized, integrated system that is hard to beat or match. It's your system to store all property, portfolio and resident information. You can track occupancy, rents, leases, lease status, unit history and status, etc... It's a system for lease administration, maintenance and work orders, accounting, billing, and property reporting. The system is relatively intuitive but can present a significant learning curve to teams using it for the first time. As a web-based solution, it can integrate with your existing software easily however, Yardi is protective in terms of allowing developers access to their API which can make it difficult to integrate with every system you may be using. In terms of implementation, Yardi is very responsive while it's software is being rolled out to a new client. You will have an entire team dedicated to your implementation and available to you for any question that may come up. Their ongoing customer support is very responsive and knowledgeable however I have experienced some significant gaps in understanding due to my limited knowledge of what specific features are called.
