We use it to keep track of tenants, charges, and to run reports. I like that it integrates right into the payment portal, RentCafe, so residents can view the descriptions that we put in for charges. **What do you dislike about Yardi Voyager?** The search feature is terrible and brings up no results. The software is ugly and times out way too fast. I have to refresh all the time and it times out everytime I have a resident that needs something it seems. It also makes me reset my password way too often, but that's for security purposes so I do understand that. I also don't like the way the screening system looks. **What problems is Yardi Voyager solving and how is that benefiting you?** The fact that it times me out so often slows down my daily work. The benefits it brings are automatic posting of rent and other fees every month and the fact that it can generate such a variety of reports. ### 3. DO NOT use their Job Cost module unless you do VERY small development projects for your owned properties. The reporting from this module is terrible. You can't get any reporting that displays Accounts Payable and Retention Payable on one report. They have few reports that will sort and subtotal for multiple jobs; you got to run one job report at a time. Software implementation was poorly managed and ongoing support is very slow. It takes days to get a call back even if your support case is tagged as "Critical". **What problems is Yardi Voyager solving and how is that benefiting you?** None! I can't bill my projects with a standard AIA-G702/703 billing form. There is no AR System that reports by invoice number! Just a bunch of individual lineline items which makes entering cash receipts very difficult. ### 4. This does not assign any work order for our 3rd Party Vendors. This app is great, but not well organized. There are too many links., We would like one simple link that will allow us to finish what needs to be done. Every time I have to assign a task, I need to select 4 links just to do a 1-second job. **What do you dislike about Yardi Voyager?** I dislike everything. This is not an easy tool. This is not helpful for real estate. This is not helpful for managers, Maintenance etc. They require too many steps. Our technicians are always logged out and this has caused too many problems. We asked for these glitches to stop, but they never seem to resolve the issue. ### 5. I'd also like to see improvements in updating templates to be populated with certain tasks, such as HUD forms and leases. **What problems is Yardi Voyager solving and how is that benefiting you?** Template updates. I like that these populate from Yardi Yoyager but we are trying to figure out why dates aren't populating with new leases (shows a tenant's original lease dates instead of new ones when we are entering recertifications). ### 10. If you are using it for ease but do not have the demand, then you are wasting your time. I spoke to our IT guy and he said that the reason why we haven't upgraded to Voyager 7s is because of how costly it is just to upgrade. To top that off, it's also highly likely that a lot of time will be spent on translating the data so that it displays properly on the new version. I've used Yardi 7s at my old company and it's a bit nicer but has some things that make administrative work quite taxing when inputting data. **What problems is Yardi Voyager solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's efficient enough to house all our data and automate weekly AR reports. ### 42. It provides all the reports and resident/prospect info that we need. I'm able to view our list of vacancies depending on how I'd like them sorted and view details. It is also simple to use. When I started as a new employee, I was able to pick up the process quite quickly and navigate different menus with ease. I like how it has options to export any reports, whether you want excel or pdf; this makes a lot of things easier for us when we use Yardi reports daily or weekly. **What do you dislike about Yardi Voyager?** I guess aesthetically, the platform can be better or more attractive. I think it would also be helpful if there was a search function that would pull up all the memos from various residents that have the same keywords. This way, we can analyze recurring issues that may be affecting more than one resident. **What problems is Yardi Voyager solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using Voyager for basically everything so we are solving a lot through it. We use it as a file storage, means of communication, data analysis and pulling up reports... so much. Uploading a lot of our resident files onto their Yardi profiles also allows us to be more eco-friendly and save space in our corporate office since everything is digital and very easily accessible. ### 46. It is nice because you can enter and approve invoices, run reports, and track projects all in one place. It is pretty easy to navigate and not a difficult platform to operate. **What do you dislike about Yardi Voyager?** We do not use this software as a "one-stop shop" like many pm teams do, so there isn't much to dislike about the accounting functions that we do use it for. However, there are a few funky glitches that are quite annoying at times. For example, it you open an invoice to look at, code, approve, etc., you have to hod down the command button when closing it, otherwise it locks all other users on Yardi out from opening it until you log out. This has become frustrating when the property management team is doing stuff at the same time the accounting team is and we end up locking each other out of viewing specific files a lot. **Recommendations to others considering Yardi Voyager:** Overall, really nice and easy product. They still need to work out the kinks with things like getting locked out of viewing different items if you don't close them while holding down the command key, but other than it is a very solid product for streamlining accounting processes. **What problems is Yardi Voyager solving and how is that benefiting you?** Yardi has made A/P much easier and more efficient. We are able to utilize address books, set up vendors and other information from various ownerships in our portfolio all through one platform when using Yardi. It has also made the process of invoicing much more manageable because managers, accountants and A/P specialists can all be on using the platform for their tasks simultaneously, streamlining the overall process. ### 47.
