What Grass Is This? Reviews & Product Details

What Grass Is This? is AI-powered lawn care software that identifies grass species from photos and creates customized maintenance plans. It analyzes blade width, color, growth habit, and regional traits to match common North American turf types. A daylight photo provides species identification and a confidence score in seconds. The software recognizes warm-season grasses like bermudagrass and zoysia, as well as cool-season varieties such as Kentucky bluegrass and tall fescue. Each identification includes a tailored twelve-month care plan with weekly tasks based on ZIP code. Features include soil temperature tracking, lawn size estimation, fertilizer calculations, watering schedules, and herbicide timing. An iPhone app delivers weather-based reminders and soil-timed actions for pre-emergent application, green-up, and overseeding. Diagnostic tools and visual guides assist with lawn problems and weed recognition. Core features are free, with uploaded photos deleted after thirty days.
