BlackBerry IVY is a cloud-connected, in-vehicle software platform co-developed by BlackBerry and Amazon Web Services . It enables automakers to securely access and process vehicle sensor data both locally within the vehicle and in the cloud. By standardizing data across all vehicle systems and facilitating machine learning processing at the edge, IVY allows for the rapid development of data-driven services that enhance driver and passenger experiences, reduce operational costs, and create new business opportunities. Key Features and Functionality: - Edge Processing: IVY processes data directly within the vehicle, allowing ML models to run on-vehicle. This optimizes the use of in-vehicle processing and cloud computing resources, reducing latency and data transmission costs. - Standardized Data Access: By abstracting the underlying vehicle hardware and software interfaces, IVY provides standardized access to vehicle sensor data. This simplifies integration across different vehicle models and reduces development time for new applications. - Developer-Friendly Tools: IVY offers a suite of Software Development Kits , Application Programming Interfaces , tools, samples, and documentation. These resources enable developers to easily interact with vehicle data using familiar methods, fostering innovation and accelerating the creation of new services. - Cloud Management Console: Automakers and their partners can use IVY's cloud console to deploy and update ML code, configure data access rights, and monitor in-vehicle software, all through an intuitive interface. Primary Value and Solutions Provided: BlackBerry IVY addresses the automotive industry's challenges related to data access, collection, and management. Modern vehicles consist of numerous components from various suppliers, each generating data in unique formats. IVY standardizes this data, enabling automakers to develop and deploy new in-vehicle applications and connected services more efficiently. By processing data at the edge, IVY reduces the need for extensive data transmission to the cloud, lowering costs and improving response times. This empowers automakers to offer personalized, responsive in-vehicle experiences, enhance vehicle performance, and unlock new revenue streams through innovative services.

Netradyne's Driver Drowsiness with DMS Sensor is an advanced driver monitoring system designed to detect and alert drivers to early signs of drowsiness, thereby enhancing road safety and reducing accident risks.
