GV george v. 7/6/2026 "Affordable, Student-Friendly Coding Tool" 4.5/5 What do you like best about VisuaLeaf? I use VisuaLeaf for school and appreciate that it is a cheap backdoor program I can afford. Coding on VisuaLeaf is easier, and the ongoing development is something I like because the frequent updates have improved the software, reducing loading times from 10 to about 4 minutes. I also value the promotions from the developer, which mean lifetime access to the program, making it easier on my non-existent wallet. Setting up VisuaLeaf is an easy click and install process despite a minor hiccup with file unzipping. I would rate it a good 9 and urge my colleagues to get VisuaLeaf before its promotions end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about VisuaLeaf? Some things that did not work well with me initially was that loading in the program was slow. The specs on my laptop that I runned VisuaLeaf on had an i-5 processor and around 8 gb of RAM. Although I know that laptop can barely stand on its own two legs with the modern requirements of todays programs. The frequent updates that VisuaLeaf surprised me, what used to be a 10 minute loading wait time became around 4 minutes. Setting up VisuaLeaf is an easy click and install, but to be honest, I did have some trouble because my ASUS laptop did not trust the download files, so it did cause a moment of confusion on why the files did not unzip and stayed in my download folder. VisuaLeaf is affordable for me, coding is easier, and it's consistently improving with updates. It loads faster now than before, which is important on my older laptop. I use Visualeaf for my aggregations and for visualizing the schema of my databases. It makes it so easy to explore my data and understand the relationships between my different collections. I use VisuaLeaf mainly for aggregation pipelines and charts. The aggregation builder was useful because I could see each step more clearly instead of reading one long pipeline. I also liked that I could turn the results into charts, which made the data easier to understand and present. The aggregation builder feels practical if you work with MongoDB and want something more visual than writing everything manually. Additionally, the initial setup of VisuaLeaf was very easy.
