Since its online, its hassle free and checks your file against of suite of security tools for comprehensive examination. **What do you dislike about VirusTotal?** Cost is too high. Could use with a limited functionality offline product as well. **Recommendations to others considering VirusTotal:** Evaluate if you really need it before using it since its costly. Firewall mechanisms can sometimes act as a good alternative instead. **What problems is VirusTotal solving and how is that benefiting you?** Virus protection. System security. ### 27. Great and easy to follow workflow and design. **What do you dislike about VirusTotal?** Can't upload files that are too large. Depending on server traffic, it can take some time. **Recommendations to others considering VirusTotal:** This is a great tool that supports a very singular need and puts it in a easily accessed site. Make sure to have a contingency plan for files that are too large. **What problems is VirusTotal solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used this to analyze packages before approving them for end users. This allowed us to bypass manually reviewing every installable package. ### 28.
