Valiotti Data Reviews & Provider Details

Valiotti Data is a fractional data leadership firm. We embed senior data leaders inside $5M-$50M revenue companies for 90 to 180 days, build out the modern data stack (BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran, Metabase), and transition ownership to your team. Three service lines: 1. Fractional CDO. A senior data leader operates as part of your executive team, owns analytics outcomes, and runs your data org day to day. 2. Data Strategy Roadmap. A diagnostic engagement that delivers a prioritized 12-month plan, organizational design, and budget. We interview stakeholders, audit the existing stack, and produce documents your board can underwrite. 3. Implementation. Production-grade modern data stacks: real-time CDC into BigQuery or Snowflake, dbt with semantic layer and tests, Fivetran connectors, Metabase deployment with embedded analytics where needed. What we are not: a body shop, an offshore staff augmentation play, or a vendor selling perpetual retainers. Every engagement has a defined exit. We disqualify ourselves when the fit is wrong. What we have done: 27 published case studies at valiotti.com/cases. Highlights: fractional CDO at a $6M pet-tech marketplace ($300K/yr saved vs full-time CDO), data-driven culture at a $25M ARR B2B SaaS (NRR 95→108%), Power BI to Metabase migration (6× faster dashboards). We also operate MetaLens (metalens.it), an observability product for Metabase deployments, and ShopWhy (shopwhy.app), e-commerce analytics for Shopify-native brands. Industries: B2B SaaS, marketplaces, e-commerce, consumer subscriptions. Founder Nick Valiotti is a practicing fractional CDO and writes long-form on modern data stack tradeoffs at valiotti.com.
