## Unsplash Reviews
 ### 1. Go-to library for stock photos

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karlee O. | Digital Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Compared to other free stock photo sites, Unsplash provides high-quality images of a variety of topics and themes. It is easy to search for different images starting with the search function, showing related photos, and displaying related tags to find exactly what image you want.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

For images of people, like other stock photos, the images often appear very posed and often overused. Oftentimes the better images are used by many companies and individuals so can quickly become flooded in the related topic.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cost-friendly option with exceptional results! For some content, it is appropriate to use free images so we can save money for our large volume of content production.

Unsplash provides a wide variety of photographs that are free to use. The pictures cover a wide range of needs and designs.

 ### 6. Unsplash is a Searchable Stock of Images that Paves a Course to Mobile Apps for Graphic Design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Veronica Z. | Senior Logistics Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Helpful about Unsplash was the limitless supply of images pre-categorized for its mobile app users. The upsides of using Unsplash include the multiple device connectivity, download speeds, and search engine that allows users to search by photo, collection, and user.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

The least helpful part about Unsplash is the limitation of user features outside of image collection. There were no downsides to using Unsplash.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

Advice for those looking at Unsplash: browse through the collections every day.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unsplash is helping solve business problems in graphic design including backgrounds for presentations.

 ### 7. Splash into Unsplash

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacy B. | Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

I love that Unsplash has high-quality photos perfect for any use. The orientation selection is beneficial in finding images for a specific purpose. The images are so fun to browse and helpful when a particular image is not available in our database. I also love the similar photos selections.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

At times, when searching for a specific image, Unsplash does not return results for what I searched.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Webdesign images, along with stock footage for videography. Unsplash is ALWAYS there for me when I need a quick snapshot with good resolution. I can't get that in a simple internet search, but Unsplash is always reliable.

 ### 8. Great free service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

First of all, this is a free service. Yes, that's right, FREE! Photographers from all over share their images on this site and you can use them for your own materials provided you issue a credit. They're great in a pinch, and I've used them quite a bit for social graphics versus paying one-offs for stock imagery.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

I can't always find what I'm looking for but again, it's free, so I definitely won't complain!

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't had any problems using Unsplash. This is a tremendous service being provided by talented photographers from all over.

 ### 9. Free - Average Quality Photos

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dani D. | Fulfillment Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

They offer free downloads. It is very easy to use the website as well.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

There is not a vast selection like on some other photo sites.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Unsplash to get photos for landing pages on clients' websites.

 ### 10. A must for all small businesses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Unsplash has high-quality, high-resolution images that are free to use. As a former graphic designer for a small consumer based brand, we needed stock images to help aid in our marketing needs and this was the perfect solution. There were such a wide array of images, that it was easy to find what we were looking for. Whether it was ingredient focused, nature focused, or anything in between there was always so much to choose from. We were able to use these images across all our marketing channels (thanks to the high resolution), and the quality of the images really helped us attain a more upscale image.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

There's not much to dislike about this marketplace. There are so many high-quality images for free, and the platform itself was easy to use and search for what you needed.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

I highly recommend using this if you are a small business looking to expand the images you use for your marketing needs. There are little affordable options out there, and typically most other marketplaces have sub-par images available - where Unsplash really provides quality imagery for a multitude of needs.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unsplash has created an affordable way to help market our brand using stock photos. We used the images for social media, email, and across many other aspects of the business. All the photos were such high resolution, that there were really no limitations as to what they could be used for.

 ### 11. The google for freely-usable images!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Janice C. | Content Ops Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Unsplash has one of the most beautiful libraries of royalty-free, high-quality images for commercial use.
Most websites have wide selections that are copyrighted or charge a fee.
It's more quality > quantity at Unsplsh.
Go ahead and try searching by keyword - guaranteed you'll find something aesthetic and wallpaper-worthy.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

As much as the quality and usability are merits, the variety of images is low compared to image powerhouses like Shutterstock.
The search function is also poor. There isn't an advanced search function to get an exact, detailed search.
While you can usually find an appealing photo that fits a desired theme, it can be difficult to find something specific.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sourcing reference images for content research and production.
The quality and aesthetic of images really beats other competitor sites.

 ### 12. Great Place for Stock Images

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alicia S. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Unsplash makes it very easy to find a diverse range of photos. The images are high quality and are often more creative than standard stock photos. You can also quickly pay the makers of the pictures if you want to support them. I also love that I can save images into different collections. When I was rebranding, I was able to make mood boards that helped by using Unsplash.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

I wish I could write something here, but there isn't anything I dislike. It's a wonderful source of free images. Maybe more "standard stock photos" would be lovely, but it's a free service. What is there to complain about?

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can easily find photos for blog posts and social media postings by using Unsplash. It's easy to create marketing material and find images similar to ones I like on Unsplash. I believe they are integrated with Canva, as well, which makes the design even more straightforward.

 ### 13. Free contemporary-looking stock photos that are often better than paid sites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

The service is free! No better price than that. But not only are the images free, they are usually more attractive and contemporary in style than many paid sites.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

Often the selection is a little more limited than paid sites, even if I like the style better. The catalog skews more towards lifestyle than specific products, situations, etc. So that can make search limiting.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I often need nice looking images to include in presentations, email newsletters, etc. Unsplash is my go-to site to gather these images.

 ### 14. A very useful free resource for photography.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mário F. | Freelance Graphic & Web Designer, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

It's a very simple website where you search and quickly download photography for your projects.
First of all it's free and you can use the the resources anywhere you need to.
There is a very large variety of qualoity photos in high resolution.
It's one of the best free photography websites I've ever been to.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

There could be more categories but remember they are free, So we should be grateful for what the site provides.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

I would like the webste to have more categories.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes you just don't have the budget for some little projects. Or need a quick go-to source of free photography, ana that's Unsplash,

 ### 15. Lets download high resolution stock images for free

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suntali M. | Brand Development Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

The most helpful feature of Unsplash is that it offers a wide variety of high-resolution images entirely for free. Also, those images are downloadable into various sizes and formats quite conveniently.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

Even though Unsplash has hundreds of thousands of beautiful images, most of them are relatively generic and are not usable in some specific business content.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Whenever I need high-quality royalty-free images for using them on our social media designs, website, and blog posts, I visit Unsplash, search among various pictures, and download what I need instantly without any long routes.

 ### 16. Unsplash is a great resource!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin W. | Instructional Developer/Video & Media Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

I love that Unsplash has a variety of high quality, royalty-free images (While they are royalty-free images, there is a suggested attribution). I work in educational programming and often find myself looking for visual aids for videos, classroom settings, presentations, and Unsplash is my main go-to. They allow you to download different size/quality images for you specific needs. I love that they have both images and illustrations, too.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

Sometimes the search feature brings back odd results. It does not appear that new images are added frequently, so if you need a lot of different images, you might need to have multiple resources, as I find these are common across many different royalty-free resources.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

I do recommend that you find at least one other resources to use with Unsplash. While I do use Unsplash a LOT, I do often have at least 1-2 other websites up in the background, just in case the search options don't meet all of my specific needs.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work in educational programming and sometimes need visual aids for segments, presentations, lectures, etc. Images can really help young learners associate the item with the word, brining the item more into their world. Images can also be very useful for some adult learning materials, helping to visualize hard concepts, and there are a lot of generic images that can be used to break up monotonous content. And it is amazing that I can do it without having to worry about copyright, just add the suggested attribution.

 ### 17. Unsplash review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahipal S. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Unsplash is an amazing software/resource provide to develop and design the stock photos. It consistently getting images to use in design/web projects. With Unsplash, they are providing an unlimited library of images that help you to choose the better one for your projects. It is also available for mobile application, websites and billboard advertisements. With Unsplash, Clients can browse the pics of their choice and use them.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

Some of the keywords are lacking and also some of the images are hidden(collections).

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

For editing the picture, it is a good software to use.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Unsplash to create self-editing pictures and videos. The collection of pics they have is the best to choose a suitable image for yourself.

 ### 18. Great free photos for your website and flyers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary C. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

An excellent site that you can join for free, and download beautiful free photos for your website, social media, and flyers, etc.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

Nothing. This is a great free site! The pictures are free to download too.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves me being concerned that pictures on my website will get me into copyright problems.

 ### 19. Great collection of professional photos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin M. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Unsplash includes a vast collection of photography for a variety of commercial and non commercial purposes. The photos can really help bring a website together if a client doesn't have photos of their own to display on the website.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

It's a massive library at our disposal so nothing negative here. They could use more diverse photos of people like Pexels but that's a minor issue.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many clients don't have access to a professional photographer and can often have low quality images. Commercial use stock photography can be a great substitute for this issue. Unsplash supplies a large amount of photos in various categories.

 ### 20. Competitive choice for stock photos with nice features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

I like the lively UI of Unsplash, it makes selecting stock photos get my creative juices flowing! It's also nice that they have a very trustworthy JSON API.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

Unsplash seems to want to focus on blogging content but they don't have so many frequent posts!

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unsplash is in my go-to essential rotation for stock photo selecting for when I'm working on mockups or wireframes. It's also in my top three stock photo sites.

 ### 21. A great resource for finding marketing collateral

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian N. | Director of Marketing and Social Media, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

What can I say? A substantial library of free stock photos that can be used commercially.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

Some topics don't have many results and direct you to paid content. Understandable, though. It's free.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have an in-house photographer so this has helped to find material for ad creative fast.

 ### 22. Beautiful, non-standard images that will set your project apart from the rest

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh H. | Learning and Instructional Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Huge selection of royalty-free images that get updated often. There are albums and albums of images that can be downloaded and used in your projects (with attribution). There are artists and photographers that contribute often and provide lots of different options. These are generally very inclusive and allow you to find the best option for your project.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

There isn't really anything to dislike. The site offers an amazing array of options. The only thing I might say is that most of the photos are already color corrected and edited. Which in most cases is ok, but if you are going for a specific look or need it to be landscape vs. portrait, it can take a while to find what you need.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

Use the images tastefully and make sure you always give attribution to the original photographer or artist.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I build online training and most people think of awful stock photos or 90's clip-art when they think of taking an online course. Unsplash helps avoid those pitfalls and ensure your project pops off the screen.

 ### 23. Unsplash is a great free option for anyone looking for stock photos.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon B. | Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Honestly, you cant beat the price.. Free. It is also very easy to use and there are lots of photo options out there. Nine times out of 10, I can find something that will work for me.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

I would like to see a larger variety of photo styles. It can be a little bit repetitive at times. But still you can't complain when something else almost perfect and free.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

I highly recommend checking out unsplash if you are looking for images for those simple graphic projects. You really can't go wrong. It's pretty self explainitory but make sure you search all posible keywords that may be linked to the image you are looking for. That may help yeild better results for you.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do a lot of small projects that are not really worth going out and purchasing a bunch of images for so unsplash is a great way to give some extra kick to those projects. Many times being the same quality as the paid sites.

 ### 24. No More Flat Stock Photos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reagan Baird E. | Minister, Writer, Speaker, and Life Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Unsplash gives me free access to beautiful photography that I can use on my website and social media platforms.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

The only thing I could possibly say I dislike is that sometimes the keywords I use to search don’t bring up any results. (But then I just try a different keyword!)

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to use beautiful photography on my website and social media platforms instead of basic, staged stock photos. This helps bring my brand to life!

 ### 25. Digital world of free stock images

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suresh C. | Creative Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

The most prominent thing about Unsplash is that it offers free stock images category wise making it better for a user to find what they are actually looking for. Other than this, it is not required to verify captcha every time prior to downloading any image.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

Though it offers varieties of free stock images to use, sometimes specific types are not found because those stock images are mostly generic.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I often need to source lots of stock images weather for using them on the website, blog, social media profiles of our company, and Unsplash conveniently addresses this problem.

 ### 26. Unsplash Is Great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Unsplash is easy to use, user-friendly and also has some of the most on-trend, stylish photos

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

No major dislikes perse except I wish that some categories had more photos

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

I highly recommend using Unsplash

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Need free, quality, stock photos to create and/or add to marketing assets

 ### 27. Royalty Free Photography

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frank J. | Director of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

I am a big fan of "free", particularly when the free product is of high quality. The images on Unsplash are great. They offer high-resolution royalty free photographs that I have used on websites for years. You don't even need to provide credit for the photos. This is important because website designs look very ugly with descriptions under every image listing the photographer credit. It can also become burdensome to list all the photo credits at the end of each page. For stock photography that helps fill out a website design, Unsplash is one of my favorite sites.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

The only thing that I dislike about Unsplash is the two limitations on how photos can be used. You cannot sell products that use the photos without editing them in some way, and you cannot setup a competing service using photos from Unsplash. These are reasonable limitations, but I had to find something to dislike.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that Unsplash photography solves is finding photos for website design projects.

 ### 28. Deep Selection, Great Photos, For Free

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian M. | Instructional Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

The selection is amazing - tons of photos for basically any purpose you might have. Great mix of abstract images, architecture, people, emotions, etc. It also integrates smoothly into the Canvas LMS, which is useful for adding visuals to online courses for decoration or instruction. The collection is easy to navigate with the "topic" structure as well, and the collection is always growing so some of the drawbacks or dislikes may become moot in the future.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

In cases where we've had a really specific need ("sad student," "business togetherness"), Unsplash doesn't always have a magic bullet photo like the paid sites like Adobe Stock tend to. The lack of stock video is a minor drawback as well - we have other sources for free stock footage.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

Go for it - what have you got to lose? Especially if you use Canvas as your LMS (or if you use any of the other tools that have built-in Unsplash integrations like Prezi, Wix, Medium, etc.), you can't beat the price. Unsplash is an easy first check for stock photos before you go to a paid site.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unsplash for Canvas is a huge upgrade from the old Flickr integration; the quality of subjects and photos both is much improved, and it helps to have an easy resource to direct faculty members toward to visually enhance their courses.

For many assignments,

 ### 29. Free, Quality Photos, Without Copyright Concerns

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Janelle D. | Admin/Content Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Great variety of free, quality photos. Easy to find what I'm looking for using the search bar. Like the page display of only 3 photos per "line" vs. having to look at 4-6 photos per "line". There is a ton a variety each time you search for a subject and there are color and B&W photos. I like having the option to choose from a variety of download sizes. "Explore" button provides categories such as backgrounds, images, wallpapers which makes it even easier to find what I'm looking for. "Topics" provides a quick way for me to see a group of images related to my topic, some of which I wouldn't have seen if I had only searched for a word. I also like that I can scroll and scroll down the page without having to hit "next page".

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

A greater variety of contributors would be nice to provide more photo options. For example, sometimes when I search for images with people in them, I see the same people over and over again, photographed at different angles. Like other sites I've used, random unrelated photos show up in your search but it isn't as bad as other sites.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

Save yourself time by using Unsplash. You'll get free, quality photos which are easy to search and come in a variety of sizes. Whether you need an image for a blog article, a guide, or social media, Unsplash has an image to meet your needs.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unsplash had saved me time by allowing me to go to one site and find a great variety of quality images for marketing and blogging. I know the photos are free, and I don't have to deal with copyright issues I've found when doing a random Google search for an image. The images allow me to make my articles and guides look more professional too.

 ### 30. Great photos that have heart. I go here when I am looking for something to "wow".

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Korra C. | Graphic Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

The UI is clear, the photos are quality. The emotion in the photos is great compared to other sites.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

There could be more options from the same shoots. Usually there is a photo I like but not many angles or versions of the same things. I usually need banner sized photos.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

Try it! Definitely give it a search the next time you need something. Sometimes i'm surprised.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Usually I am collecting visuals for coperate graphics or creative design projects. Sometimes I use them in collages and I also like browsing for fun and inspiration.

 ### 31. Pretty Good

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

I like the fact that you can download photos for free and support photographers by exhibiting their work.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

Not all searches come up with results, and it's difficult to know whether a photo is accurate to my search phrase because the titles are vague. For example, if I want to find a photo from a small town in Belgium, I don't know whether the photo is actually from that particular town.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

Use this for free photo downloads but if you're trying to find obscure photos then might not be the right tool for this.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Unsplash in our social media and blog posts. The benefits are that we know there are no potential copyright issues since the photos were released by their owner for people to use on this platform.

 ### 32. Content Creator

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

I love the access to free high quality photos! They really come in handy. Especially since the photos come in high quality sizes and are easy to download. The photos are often very modern and diverse which I appreciate!

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

The only thing I dislike is that I wish there was a larger selection of photographs and different styles of photography. Sometimes the photos are a little too unprofessional to use for corporate businesses.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many small businesses can't afford to hire a photographer, so this is a great resource for new businesses with limited budgets. This platform also helps photographers gain exposure and build their portfolios.

 ### 35. Beautiful, high-quality, free stock photos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

I love the artistic nature of stock photos offered by Unsplash. They aren't kitschy or cliche like so many you see on other sites. Plus, I love that they come from aspiring photographers from all over the world.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

It would be great if photos were more consistently tagged or easier to filter. I oftentimes find myself typing in synonyms of the keyword that matches what I'm looking for many times before finally finding a photo that fits the bill.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

N/A it's a free service so no reason not to give it a shot!

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's not realistic to spend $100 every time our company or one of our clients needs a stock photo. Being able to use Unsplash and find stock photos for free for blog posts or social media posts is awesome!

 ### 36. I love Unsplash!

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

The only thing I dislike is I wish there were more photos, but they build their content library over time.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

It's free, so I highly recommend taking advantage of this amazing content resource!

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to find photos of things that my staff and I are not equipped to take ourselves. It saves us time and money for marketing and social media.

 ### 37. My Go To for Images

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brooke D. | Media Co-ordinator , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

When looking for Images for anything I am working on, Unsplash is my go to search. They have incredible quality photos that have real people and real landscapes and everything else. I like that there are many contributors who all have different styles and editing preferences. It provides many different options and feels, depending on the project. It is simple. It is free. What is not to love about Unsplash! I definitely recommend this product.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

Sometimes when I get to specific for what I am looking for, they do not have it. Also, sometimes in a search the photos that appear seem very unrelated to what I do need. This is probably the only dislike I have of this website. It is so easy to use, user friendly yet may not yet have the exact photos you are looking for depending on how specific you are looking for!

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

Get using this website. It is a great resource. If you are into photography, add your work into this shared space and contribute to these already amazing photos. It is a way to share with those the beauty that you capture.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unsplash solves the problem of spending so much time looking for quality images. It provides the images also instantaneously. The benefits of Unsplash is that you are able to use these images free. Because there are so many contributors to Unsplash as well, you get many different varieties of photos.

 ### 40. The antidote to awful stock photos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake T. | Creative Storytelling & Brand Lead, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

I love the quality and variety of shots, they are much more organic in nature than stock websites. They are photos taken by incredibly talented photographers, but generally are shot on location rather than in a clinical studio.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

I dislike the lack of events photos, particularly around current events around the world. We still have to use Getty Images for these.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

Use the Collections feature, it’s perfect for individual projects and compiling relevant photos for use later.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have replaced our reliance on pricy stock photograph websites with Unsplash, which gives us free unadulterated access to millions of high quality lifestyle imagery.

 ### 44. Excellent Free Resource for Designers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allie (Allison) E. | Marketing Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

I think the most obvious advantage to using Unsplash is that it's completely free and with no strings attached. I think a lot of designers have ran into the same issue with "free stock photo" sites in that there is a lot of fine print around licensing and usage rights. Sometimes each photo has its own terms decided by the photographer on how you're allowed to use it while others sometimes straight out say that the photos are only free for personal use. Unsplash, on the other hand, makes it clear that any photo on their site is completely free for any type of use, even modification and distribution (which is very rare). I also LOVE how easy they make it to download a photo. Many other sites make it a process to download a photo by doing things like opening a new tab for each image to download one by one, or sending a separate download link to your email for each photo you want. On Unsplash, you can download photos right from the main browsing/gallery page. Each thumbnail has a little download icon right on it so you don't have to click or open a new page to download the image.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

The only thing I have disliked about using Unsplash is that they don't make it as easy to add a photo to a "collection" as they do to download the photo. While browsing or viewing a gallery of photos, each thumbnail of the image has a little icon on it to either download the image or add it to a "collection", which are albums that users can create to keep groups of photos they want to save together. While the download icon is very convenient and downloads the image immediately when you click it without a pop-up or opening a new page/tab - the "add to collection" button is more inconvenient. When you click this button a pop-up comes up and then you have to choose which album you want to put the photo in, and then exit out of the pop-up. While this may seem trivial, if you are adding a lot of pictures this can get tedious very fast, it's more like 5 clicks per photo as opposed to the one click it takes to download. I think it would be a lot more convenient if the "add to collection" icon prompted a pull-down menu instead of a pop-up.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

This is a great site that you have no risk in using since it's completely free with full licensing rights to all it's photos. All images LOOK professional, so there is no skimming through trying to find the good ones.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With email marketing and social media as prominent as it is today, it no longer makes sense to pay $50 for a stock image that will only be used for something that is going to be seen for a day. For print materials it obviously makes a lot more sense. So, the business problems we are solving with Unsplash is being able to afford to use professional looking photos for social media and email marketing, and also having the variety needed to keep content fresh.

 ### 45. Love this service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick F. | Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

I'm on unsplash all the time. for someone who works for a non-profit who can't afford to buy stock photos all the time, using unsplash is incredibly helpful.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

I was recently looking for hospital room images but couldn't find any on your site. Get more image of hospitals and medical stuff.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

Keep up the good work!

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to quickly find and image I need for a project and knowing that I can use it worry free of being sued or copy-write infringement.

 ### 46. Stock Photos

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose (Joe) G. | Social Media Analyst/Graphic Design , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

I love Unsplash for all of our stock photo needs. Sometimes we just need a quick picture and don't have the time or budget to go out and get professional photographers. Even though crediting isn't required I love that they put the artists information at the bottom so we can give the photographer credit where it's due! Love all the diversity and so many different pictures to choose from!

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

There are so many things I like about Unsplash that it's hard to pick something I dislike. The only thing would be a suggestion to have different size options. Sometimes I don't want a super large image and it would be nice to have these options

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

If you are looking for a great site to get stock photos look no further than UnSplash! They have a wonderful collection and great photographers. Most of the time giving credit isn't required, but I do love that they also give you the option to give credit where credit is due! Love that they don't shy away from that and give you the option to do the right thing. I keep coming back more often then I should just to keep up with all of the wonderful pictures. Keep up the great stuff UnSplash!

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting the right pictures! With so many different photographers you're going to not have a hard time finding the perfect picture. Love all the options and styles. Plus they don't look super cheesy. Some other stock photo sites you're going to have a cheese ball fest, but here it seems like more natural and well balanced photography!

 ### 47. Free beauty

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isabella M. | Advertising Student , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

The photos are such high quality and very easy to download. I can simply search what I am looking for, hit the "download" option and I can thank the photographer if I choose. The photos are not small and blurry and are often beautiful. Unsplash is always my go-to for free photos which really helps as a student without a budget for projects.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

Sometimes the photos have filters that make them impossible to use for certain projects since they are so stylized. Also, there are more photos that are "pretty" and less generic photos of objects that would actually be helpful to have access to.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used Unsplash as a student without access to a photographer. I recently made a creative advertising campaign and the fact that Unsplash frequently labels where the photos were taken was very helpful. The campaign was for a nonprofit that is only working in a certain number of countries, and I wanted my photos to be accurate.

 ### 48. Diamond in thr Rough!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

I love this program so much that I actually hate reviewing it. I hate telling people what we use. I hate even sharing it with interns because it's so densely populated, high quality and untapped and its FREE. I so rarely see the images we use elsewhere and I love the quality and how you can search and create albums so I can plan content that we need to alter ahead of time.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

I don't like the fact that the APP on ipad is horrible, no albums come up, etc.

**Recommendations to others considering Unsplash:**

This is GREAT. I would say DON'T USE IT but just because WE WANT TO KEEP THE SECRET. They have something awesome here, artists sharing inspiration and their great images and the public being able to bring them to life.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using this for certain clients to really POP social media, getting HD, color rich images that engage followers and integrate seamlessly into the client's brand or content.

 ### 49. Great Resource!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Unsplash is a great resource for creatives. It gives you the ability to create great marketing assets by using high quality, creative photos. I have been really impressed by how beautiful the photographs are on the Unsplash site.

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

There is not much at all that I dislike about Unsplash, like I said above I think it is a great resource for people in Marketing to utilize for their company or personally.

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't run into any problems yet with Unsplash. The interface is very user friendly. It doesn't have any glitches that I am aware of yet.

 ### 50. Excellent stock photo options

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Unsplash?**

Lots of good quality photos, especially like the app option

**What do you dislike about Unsplash?**

Would love to see more niche options (ie science), and more diversity in team photo options

**What problems is Unsplash solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We love to use Unsplash for social media posts and websites; it saves a lot of time and money.
