"Cross platform ability and learning curves of unity"
5/5
What do you like best about Unity?

So far in my 7 years of gaem development, I found unity, one of the best game engine ever. Easiness and quick learning is one the best thing. It has a huge community to support and a lot of package help you shorten your work. Object base working make the structure easy to understand and reusable. We have made a lot of hit games using Unity for playstore and iOS. Moreover it has the cross platform ability so you can publish the same source code to multiple platforms like mobile, website and consoles. Implementation is also easy and very handy for beginners as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unity?

"An awesome solution for game development"
5/5
What do you like best about Unity?

It provides all in one solution and cross platform work really well with Unity.it is like code once and deploy any where. Works efficiently on majority of all platforms seemlessly. Unity provides a major and vast solutions in terms of packaging and network solution. Based out with C# and fits we can decide what we want to do. Also recently it has added visual scripting which is easier for first timers to understand what's happening here. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Using Unity for making Applications"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Unity?

After using Unity for two years, I can say that it is among the easiest game engines to use. Since it does not demand any prior programming experience or expertise, it's great for people who are just starting out in game production. Documentations and lessons on YouTube provide an abundance of additional support needed to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unity?

Sometimes, the frequent upgrades cause problems with ongoing projects, necessitating more debugging and compatibility problems. Furthermore, the documentation might be more thorough, which would make it more difficult to locate solutions to certain problems fast. Additionally, there are instances when customer service replies slowly to queries that arise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best 2D and 3D game development Software"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Unity?

Unity makes the development of games much simpler and easy. We can create basic and AAA titles on Unity as well. It has a powerful graphic engine and C# is very familiar so very helpful.

Unity enables publishing on any platform and integrates with many major SDKs such as Firebase, echo3D, etc.

It also provides a package for multiplayer gaming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unity?

Unity's huge physics library and scripting, functions require very steep learning. Fortunately, it has a huge developer base, hence lots of tutorials. It is too much performance hungry, means computer drains huge resources to just unity causing to crash on bigger projects containing multiple scenes and assets. "Best 2D and 3D game engine"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Unity?

Unity has been one of my favourite game engines. The Asset Store of Unity is awesome as it has a ton of free-to-use assets. I have been using Unity for 2-3 years and it has never disappointed me.

It has a nice editor and project explorer. Game scripts in C# allow to write in familiar language.

Unity easily integrates with Firebase, echo3D allowing saving data online and AR applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unity?

Unity 2D game engine is still not very much optimized as there are other engines that are lightweight and give the same performance.

Over the years, Unity system requirements have also increased drastically forcing to upgrade PCs within 2 years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excelent software for video game development"
4/5
What do you like best about Unity?

Easy to learn and use, it is excellent for beginners who want to enter the world of video game creation. It offers a multitude of features that guide you through all aspects of game development, including 3D, 2D, lighting, coding, animation, UI, optimization, and more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unity?

The software is great, but some good features either never leave preview or take too long to do so. The company's direction is more focused on monetization rather than improving the engine (They changed the CEO recently in 2023, so we hope that changes). The new installation fee is not good for the industry (they changed it, but it still remains). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Using Unity for Game Development"
3/5
What do you like best about Unity?

Unity is by far one of the best Game Development Engines as you can really create anything with it for all sorts of platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unity?

The only drawback I found with Unity is that it has some graphical limitations where Unreal Engine excels. It also specializes in certain types of games such as 2D side scrolling games. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
