I have been using and studing this product frequently for most likly 2 years now. It also felt a bit clunky in the back end - like best of breed but from 10 years ago, and the reporting is not what the Exec really want to see. The management tools were ok to use - that is what the security team said, for me, it was difficult to use unless you are on the tools all of the time. For pre-installation support and throughout the deployment, we had high availability from the support team. When we ask for troubleshooting on a problem related to the application, we have an instant response, which allows us to continue without a hitch. As soon as there are new threats, we are informed quickly and the fixes are quickly applied. Trend Micro has recently combined features from multiple products into Apex One, allowing more functionality within a single agent. For example, we use the "vulnerability protection" feature, which protects against recent unpatched vulnerabilities. Because AOSaaS resides in the cloud, we no longer have to worry about updating on-premises servers. **What do you dislike about Trend Vision One - Endpoint Security?** When we had an on-premises system, we found it easy to miss patches and updates, which came out rather frequently. With the cloud version, we miss the ability to push scans and software updates from the server to endpoints. Integrations with other cloud applications seem to be lacking as well. For example, we've experienced complications attempting to integrate with cloud SIEM systems via API. It would also be great if the Active Directory sync agent would sync more than just Active Directory structure. It would be ideal if the application could synchronize AD user accounts for authentication as well. Currently, ADFS is required to sync user accounts to AOSaaS. **What problems is Trend Vision One - Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use the product to protect against viruses, block URLs, provide endpoint firewall services, and protect against malicious behaviors on computers. That solution was a great option and helped keep us safe from the general virus', but we were not using the full suite of tools. After moving from an on-premise service to Apex One, we found that we both reduced our risk and increased our ability to identify viruses and malware. The transition from on-premise to Apex One SaaS was effortless and resulted in zero downtime to our end users. The services team at Trend was able to support us through the entire transition and, after the implementation was completed, were able to answer any operational questions as well. Trend micro does it all for you. They have regular scheduled maintanace dates. Support is a great you can sign into the portal and create cases there. The cloud version of Trend where no updates need to be done by the administrator. Trend does it all for you. That is a real plus. We felt our Trend account manager and primary support contact were extremely responsive through the entire engagement and are very happy with the end result. **What do you dislike about Trend Vision One - Endpoint Security?** We had some issues at first figuring out where files were getting blocked/quarantined/cleaned from due to all the different modules and different areas to input exclusions (Real-time Scan, Scheduled Scan, Manual Scan, Scan Now, Behavior Monitoring). Also, my company has a number of inhouse developed apps and there was no quick and easy way to add them to the Trusted Programs list due to them not being signed. **What problems is Trend Vision One - Endpoint Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** Endpoint protection. At any point if we had a question, support is ready to advise and make the proper adjustments to our environment. Our account managers are great. We have weekly meetings with them. They are very responsive on our needs and easy to work with.
