Users consistently praise TinyMCE for its ease of use and customization options, making it a reliable choice for both developers and non-technical users. The intuitive interface allows for straightforward content creation, while extensive documentation supports seamless integration into various platforms. However, some users note that certain advanced features are often locked behind paid plans, which can be a limitation for smaller teams.

What do you like best about TinyMCE?

What do you dislike about TinyMCE?

Ideally I'd like more free plugins, I get put off by the word premium. However tinymce is shaping up nicely and as my developments progress I may buy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The pricing model is a bit strange. The customisation options are a bit more complex than they need to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Saved us months"
5/5
What do you like best about TinyMCE?

We were looking for a solution to power elements within our CMS, After considering (briefly) building our own, it was suggested we re-look at TinyMCE. It has come a LONG way from when I first was introduced to it years ago. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TinyMCE?

Some areas of documentation could possibly be improved, ie references to customizing the initialization of the editor to not strip certain HTML tags from source code Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"TineMCE is one of the best rich-text editors you can use in React apps."
4/5
What do you like best about TinyMCE?

TinyMCE comes with many plugins that provide most of the functionality one can wish for. If there is something that is not covered by the given plugins, then creating a plugin of your own is not too complicated. The documentation is clear and the support team is quick in answering any question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TinyMCE?

TinyMCE is a comparatively complex component. Our software itself is quite complex and creates difficult scenarios for TinyMCE's UI. On rare occasions, you might end up with a hard-to-trace error. However, this is nothing specific to TinyMCE. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from John Rau of TinyMCE

We are happy to hear you are finding the features and extensibility of TinyMCE useful for your project - Thank you for reviewing!
