**What do you like best about Tandem?**

The Tandem experience has been great for me and my team. I've been matched with an experienced Chief of Staff and business operator whose startup and venture capital experience has been invaluable to me. He helps me navigate the daily challenges with tactical, actionable insights and advises me on planning ahead thoughtfully, decisively, and strategically. I've shared Tandem with two other department heads, and they are also getting helpful insights to navigate their management and function-specific issues. It's incredible to have an outside, experienced sounding board to sync up with every two weeks. As leaders, we can often overlook our own professional development. Tandem makes the experience of finding an advisor so easy and seamless. +1 Elizabeth B's comments RE: Connie - She's responsive, supportive, and always helpful. I highly recommend Tandem!

**What do you dislike about Tandem?**

One department head shared that they've had an issue scheduling time with their advisor. This is understandable, as advisors and our team members have busy schedules.

**What problems is Tandem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a senior leader in my organization and my manager is the CEO. My CEO is incredibly busy and so mentorship can often be overlooked, just because of the busy nature of our work, so having Tandem is a great support for leaders and managers!

**What do you like best about Tandem?**

Tandem has been an invaluable resource for both my own growth and my team's success. I personally use Tandem and confidently offer it to my team because of its real impact. My coach has been a true sounding board—validating my experiences, helping me navigate challenges, and ultimately pushing me to achieve more success in my role than ever before. The platform is seamless, the coaching is top-notch, and the customer support is truly unmatched.

Tandem has helped me tackle performance reviews, compensation conversations, and career advancement planning with clarity and confidence. The ability to match with the right coach for my needs makes every session incredibly productive. But beyond that, what sets Tandem apart is its leadership—Connie, their CEO, personally responds to my questions within hours with thoughtful solutions. She is kind, quick, and truly champions her customers. The level of care and responsiveness from the Tandem team is unlike anything I’ve experienced elsewhere.

**What do you dislike about Tandem?**

Honestly, my only wish is for an even wider range of coaches to choose from as the platform continues to grow. While the current selection is great, as more users join, having even more specialized options would be fantastic. Additionally, I’d love to see more analytics on the admin side. Having deeper insights into team progress, engagement, and outcomes would make it easier to assess the impact of coaching at a larger scale. That being said, given how proactive and responsive Tandem has been in addressing needs and making improvements I’m confident they’ll be rolling out these features soon.

**What problems is Tandem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small company with fewer than 50 employees, our leadership team simply doesn't have the bandwidth to offer the level of mentorship or 1:1 coaching that we used to. Tandem solves this problem by providing accessible, high-quality coaching to our team members, ensuring they still have the personalized support they need for growth and development. This allows our leadership team to focus on other strategic priorities while still offering valuable coaching experiences to our employees. It’s a perfect solution for maintaining individual growth and supporting career advancement, even with limited internal resources.

**What do you like best about Tandem?**

Tandem has been a great tool to help my team grow and create a continuous improvement culture.  I like that it provides team members a non-work setting which gives them a safe space to discuss issues.  My team ranks it as a valuable part of professional development.  I encourage all PM leaders to consider using Tandem.  Additionally, I've been pleased with the level of support from leadership at Tandem to ensure we are getting the most out of the relationship.

**What do you dislike about Tandem?**

Some time it takes a few tries to find the right coaching fit.  Luckliy, the people at Tandem recognize this and have built it into their process to ensure a good match.

**What problems is Tandem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tandem is extending my leadership toolset by providing coaching to members of the team.  This is helpful because its not a snapshot point in time but an evolving dialogue between coach and mentee.  This ensures the content is relevant for whatever issue is at hand.

**What do you like best about Tandem?**

Tandem gets mentorship right—it’s not generic or surface-level. What I appreciated most was the way the platform matches mentees with mentors who really understand their role, industry, and challenges. As an HR Director, I was paired with someone who brought both deep experience and fresh, forward-thinking insights—including tools like AI that helped me shift how I approach the future of HR. The focus wasn’t just on solving my day-to-day issues—it was about expanding my leadership mindset.

I also saw huge wins for the managers I supported through Tandem. Each person had a completely different focus—from people leadership, to global business challenges, to team structure—and each one came out stronger. Now in a more senior role, I’ve come back to Tandem to support our current leadership team. The results speak for themselves.

**What do you dislike about Tandem?**

Honestly,   I can not think of anything!

**What problems is Tandem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tandem is solving the often-overlooked challenge of targeted, meaningful development for people leaders. It’s easy to find training that’s too broad or mentorship that doesn’t quite align—but Tandem fixes that. They meet leaders right where they are, whether it’s a new manager navigating team dynamics or a VP looking to scale their leadership impact.

In addition to 1:1 mentorship, we also used Tandem for group manager training—and it was excellent. Amanda led a session that focused on applying real-time tools to real-world problems. She didn’t just train—she equipped us. We walked away with a usable template, then immediately applied it in breakout groups to tackle actual leadership challenges. That hands-on format made the learning stick and, maybe just as importantly, deepened the relationships across our management team. It was practical, engaging, and truly impactful.

**What do you like best about Tandem?**

I used Tandem to provide support to a handful of my employees at a small but growing startup. They all really enjoyed the Tandem coaches that they had. I felt like Tandem was helping me uplevel the talent of my team. Coaches were matched based on functional area as well as personality, and they were all good fits.

**What do you dislike about Tandem?**

I didn't have as much direct "insight" into what my employees were doing with their coaches - which is by design, the coaches are for the employees, not for the CEO... But I would have liked at least some reporting like "X meetings this month" etc...

**What problems is Tandem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small startup I was doing all of the professional development of my team. Tandem helped each of my team members get more personalized support.

Tandem has an amazing group of mentors ready to support you. As someone working at a small startup, having a mentor from Tandem has been a game-changer. They’ve helped me navigate daily work challenges and provided valuable advice for my career growth.

The Tandem team is fantastic, too. They’re dedicated to finding the perfect mentor match for you and go above and beyond to make it happen. My experience with Tandem has been so positive that I’ve recommended it to many friends and coworkers.

The sessions are on the expensive side, but I’ve found they deliver a lot of value and are well worth the cost.

**What do you like best about Tandem?**

Tandem has a roster of stellar mentors available to pair you with. Being at a startup with a lean team, my mentor from Tandem has been incredibly helpful to lean on for everything from guidance on everyday work challenges to personal career development. 

The team at Tandem is also wonderful - their mission is to ensure that you are paired with the right person for you, and they will do what it takes to find the right pairing. I've had a wonderful experience with Tandem and have recommended it to several colleagues and friends.

**What do you dislike about Tandem?**

The service is pricey per hour-long session, but I find that I get plenty of value from it.

**What problems is Tandem solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tandem has paired me with a fantastic mentor that I never would've met outside of the platform.
