## SquirrelMail Reviews
  ### 1. Best Opensource Email Client

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phaneendra Kumar P. | Senior Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2022

**What do you like best about SquirrelMail?**

File size sharing, easy configuration, address book options

**What do you dislike about SquirrelMail?**

No modern features, only text emails, and no HTML mail support, slow browsing even hosted on a cloud server.

**What problems is SquirrelMail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A simple way to send and receive text emails without any hiccups, Ad-free, open source

  ### 2. Small office boon to web-based email service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark B. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2022

**What do you like best about SquirrelMail?**

Squirrelmail is a straightforward way to create what your small office team needs: a way to get to their email via any web browser. When I was browsing for means to accomplish this, SquirrelMail kept coming up again and again as well reviewed.

**What do you dislike about SquirrelMail?**

There is a *slight* learning curve with using SquirrelMail, but you do not need to be a programmer to use it. All it takes is good direction following and few notes about where your email service originates.

**What problems is SquirrelMail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was the most geek-like in our nonprofit organization, but I knew that there were means to achieve what we needed. With smartphone technology now making it a cinch to have email nearby, SquirrelMail still provides that one additional, secure way of accessing email with an internet connection when cell service is lacking.

  ### 3. an open source webmail application that provides a powerful interface for managing your email.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naqeeb S. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2022

**What do you like best about SquirrelMail?**

It's easy to use, fast and feature-rich, with an array of features that make managing your email a breeze. The interface is clean and uncluttered, with various customisation options available. You can easily customise the look and feel of your SquirrelMail inbox, including the ability to add plugins, skins, and themes.

**What do you dislike about SquirrelMail?**

SquirrelMail does not provide the same level of security that other services offer, such as SSL encryption, two-factor authentication, and anti-spam measures.

**What problems is SquirrelMail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I found the filters and search capabilities to be especially helpful in managing the influx of emails I receive. I quickly organised my emails into folders and assigned labels to them for easy sorting. In addition, the built-in calendar and to-do list functions were valuable for keeping my daily tasks and appointments organised.

  ### 4. A Configurable Option For Mail GUI

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe H. | Systems Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2022

**What do you like best about SquirrelMail?**

Squirrel mail gave our Dev team a lot of flexibility in how they laid out the pages, colors, and customizing our brands. As an open source package the price can't be beat.

**What do you dislike about SquirrelMail?**

Due to the number of customizations our Dev team did we often times had to manually update files within each of our users directories. There was a lot of effort involved in managing perl scripts to automate this work regularly.

**What problems is SquirrelMail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Squirrel Mail as a front end for users to access their email at an ISP. All internal systems were open source so Squirrel Mail fit right in with the rest of our systems.
