"Making Transcription and Content Creation Much More Manageable"
5/5
What do you like best about Speechmatics?

What I like most about Speechmatics is how easy it is to work with recorded audio. As a dietician, nutritionist, and health content creator, I often create health awareness content and sometimes need to review recordings before using the information in educational material. The transcription is accurate enough for my day-to-day work and the timestamps make it easier to go back to specific parts of a recording when needed. I also find speaker identification useful when there are multiple people in a discussion. It keeps the transcript more organized and easier to follow. For longer recordings, the summary and topic-related features help me get a quick understanding of the main discussion points without reviewing everything from the beginning.

Another thing I like is that Speechmatics is not limited to transcription only. Features such as real-time transcription and text to speech make it useful for different types of audio and content workflows. The platform feels straightforward, and I was able to start using it without spending much time on setup.

Performance has been good in my experience. Audio files are processed fairly quickly, and the output is generally well structured and easy to read. Overall, it helps me save time when organizing, reviewing, and repurposing health education content for documentation and content creation purposes. Overall, Speechmatics helps me save time when creating, reviewing, organizing, and repurposing health-related content. It fits naturally into my workflow for health education, content creation, documentation, and audio-based projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Speechmatics?

The transcription quality is good overall, but with specialized healthcare or technical terminology, I sometimes make minor edits before finalizing content or notes. Also, Speaker identification is helpful, but in longer discussions with multiple participants, I occasionally double check the speaker labels before using the transcript for documentation purposes. "Highly Accurate Transcription Across Accents, Languages, and Real-World Audio"
4/5
What do you like best about Speechmatics?

What I like most about Speechmatics is its high transcription accuracy across different accents, languages, and real-world audio conditions. It performs well even with diverse speakers, making it a reliable solution for speech-to-text applications. Accurate speech recognition with strong multilingual support. Excellent handling of different accents and speaking styles. Real-time and batch transcription capabilities. Speaker diarization and timestamped transcripts. Developer-friendly APIs that are easy to integrate into applications. For me, the most valuable feature is its accuracy in challenging audio environments. It can transcribe conversations with multiple speakers and varying accents more reliably than many traditional speech recognition solutions. The biggest benefit is productivity. Speechmatics helps automate transcription for meetings, interviews, and customer conversations, reducing manual effort while providing high-quality transcripts that can be searched, analyzed, or processed further by AI workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Speechmatics?

The biggest drawback is handling specialized vocabulary. In technical meetings or product discussions, I occasionally need to correct API names, acronyms, or domain-specific terminology before sharing the transcript. Transcription accuracy can still decline with heavy background noise or when multiple people speak simultaneously. Industry-specific terms, abbreviations, and uncommon names sometimes require manual correction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Accurate, Low-Latency Speech-to-Text for Multilingual Voice AI"
5/5
What do you like best about Speechmatics?

The engine delivers a consistently low WER, even when handling complex accents or noisy environments. Additionally, their technical support team is highly responsive and helpful whenever we need infrastructure or integration assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Speechmatics?

The administrative console and usage analytics dashboard could be more robust to make tracking real-time API spend and concurrent streams easier. We'd love to see deeper logging features natively integrated into the user UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Accurate Transcription, Exceptional Real-Time Features"
4/5
What do you like best about Speechmatics?

I use Speechmatics for transcription and translation because it provides high accuracy transcriptions in English and other languages of interest to our business. I find the features for real-time low latency processing very good. The software has stronger features for continuous real-time recognition than most other systems available. I appreciate the strong features in number formatting, punctuation, and diarization. I also value the real-time speech recognition feature highly. Setting up the product has become easier over time with more documentation now available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Speechmatics?

Translation is not as big a focus, our testing program has generally not rated the translation features as highly as the source language transcription. I think this has just been less of a business focus or prioritization for Speechmatics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Maria Anastasiou of Speechmatics

Spot on about translation not being our primary focus at the moment. We're squarely set on transcription, with all the bells and whistles you mentioned, punctuation, number formatting, and that real-time recognition. It's good to hear the setup’s getting smoother with the docs. We're listening, though, so your thoughts on translation help shape what we look at next.

Thanks for the insights!

"High Accuracy Speech-to-Text"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Speechmatics?

I really appreciate Speechmatics for its really good below word error rate compared to some of the bigger vendors. They've clearly focused on providing high accuracy and good quality speech-to-text for general-purpose use, especially in languages that are generally hard for other vendors. They also excel in more niche languages where there’s probably minimal data. Their ability to handle a variety of dialects and accents with high accuracy has been really critical for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Speechmatics?

When I initially started working with Speechmatics, they had one of the highest latency levels, which was important for real-time voice. However, this is not an issue anymore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Maria Anastasiou of Speechmatics

Achieving low word error rates across a wide range of languages, including niche ones and varied accents, is something our research team works incredibly hard on, so it's great to hear it's making a real difference for you.

We'll keep pushing the boundaries on accuracy and language coverage. Thanks for being a part of the Speechmatics community!

"Good ROI for transcription services"
4/5
What do you like best about Speechmatics?

High-quality STT product that is well-documented. The platform is easy to use, and the team was helpful with the setup. The API structure is also easy to understand and covers many needs. Pricing is also competitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Speechmatics?

Only minor things to improve. The transcription history on the interface could cover longer periods and some settings could have even more explanation and examples in the documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Maria Anastasiou of Speechmatics

Thanks for your feedback. We’re pleased the product quality, documentation, and ease of use have been helpful, and that diarization and summarization are adding value to your operations.

We appreciate the suggestions on transcription history and documentation and will keep them in mind as we improve the platform.

"Containerized ASR with a well-usable API and strong collaboration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Speechmatics?

The ASR solution is provided in a containerized form. The API is easy to use. The collaboration with the contacts at Speechmatics is good. Pricing is fair (although now under pressure from new offers). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Speechmatics?

With the German language model (CPU and GPU), we have not been able to measure any noticeable improvement regarding WER in the latest versions. The language models of other manufacturers are sometimes better for German. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Maria Anastasiou of Speechmatics

Thank you for the thoughtful review! We're glad the containerized deployment, API experience, and collaboration with our team have been working well for you.

Your feedback on the German language model is genuinely valuable — improving WER across all languages is a continued priority for us, and we'll make sure this is flagged to our model development team.

"Simple AI Transcription Setup with Great Sales and Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Speechmatics?

Speechmatics made it very simple to set up AI transcription for our product. As with any integration there where snags, but nothing we couldn't figure out. Overall we're very pleased with the results we are achieving, and very pleased with the help we've gotten from their sales and support departments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Speechmatics?

I love that they provide open source packages for many of the mechanics we need to implement in relation to transcribing audio to text, however we do have some bugs still related to these that we haven't been able to figure out yet. So far we can live with the issues we've experienced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Maria Anastasiou of Speechmatics

Thank you for the kind words! We're thrilled the integration went smoothly and that our sales and support teams have been there when you needed them.

We'd love to help resolve those open-source package bugs — please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team so we can dig into them with you.

Excited to keep supporting your multilingual AI features!

"High-Accuracy Live Transcription Powering Real-Time Subtitles for National Broadcasts"
5/5
What do you like best about Speechmatics?

The high accuracy and quality of live transcription metadata (including speaker detection) has made it possible for DR to develop and deploy a real-time subtitling solution for news, sports and political debates. This is used for national broadcasts in Denmark for approximately 6 hours daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Speechmatics?

There is nothing I can think of. We have always had good support and input towards future features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Maria Anastasiou of Speechmatics

Thank you so much for this wonderful review! It's incredibly rewarding to hear how Speechmatics is helping DR bring real-time subtitles to national broadcasts across Denmark, 6 hours of live coverage daily is no small feat, and we're proud to be the technology powering that.

Accessibility in broadcasting is something we care deeply about, and knowing our accuracy, speaker detection, and low-latency transcription are making a real difference for Danish audiences is exactly the kind of impact we build for.

We're glad our support team has been a reliable partner along the way, and we look forward to supporting your file-based workflows as those grow too. If there's ever anything you need, we're always here.

Thanks again for being such a valued part of the Speechmatics community!
