New manufacturer part can be added to manufacturer library, marking & annotations around the symbol are automatically done as per user desire. Multiple user environment allows to multiple user to connect into single project. Projects works are automatically saved, need of save command is eradicated. PLC Drawings are done with minimum effort due to dedicated options for PLC drawing. Easy to cross verify the complete project by cross verify functionality like "Go to". Wire and cable numbering or ferruling are done automatically **What do you dislike about SolidWorks Electrical Professional?** System requires minimum 8 GB RAM with latest operating system version. Sometime software crashes when creating more than 200 pages of schematic design. SolidWorks Electrical Professional is only integrated with SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD and other M-CAD software are unable to integrate. Signal flow functionality is not there in current latest version expecting signal functionality in future SolidWorks Electrical Professional version. **Recommendations to others considering SolidWorks Electrical Professional:** Windows 10 operating system is recommended for using SolidWorks Electrical Professional. To utilize 3D Electrical wire, cable routing functionality SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD is required. **What problems is SolidWorks Electrical Professional solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm using SolidWorks Electrical Professional to design the electrical schematics of electrical control panel. It reduces time to design electrical schematics & instant generation of report functionality totally eliminates the report creation task. Wire/cable harness designing are done in very efficiently along with wire/cable properties like minimum bending radius. ### 2. Whatever, I have connected it with Solidworks 3D Cad.It is by far the effective electrical system designing tool for me though I haven't gone through all the options it has. For my part I like it a lot, because I feel that I make parts and contactors at the highest level. In addition the design on the screen is usually very professional, from there comes his name. **What do you dislike about SolidWorks Electrical Professional?** I have not failed with this software, it has worked for me in the organization with which I work and from that I have achieved an important promotion. And that's where SolidWorks Electrical Professional made me work more comfortable, because now I have control over each piece and I'm sure I made it great because I have this software that backs me up. It is complex to use and you have to have experience in designs to be able to use it, but it is the most competent software on the market to perform this necessary task. In addition to having multiple functions in your arsenal to take your designs to the highest technological level. **What do you dislike about SolidWorks Electrical Professional?** Maybe the price is a little higher compared to other similar software, but their intuitive ability to make each piece is unparalleled, I think it's worth paying a little more and so be delighted to get a piece perfectly created virtually. The truth is that I do not see the price as a disadvantage, I believe that the service they provide is of total quality and for that reason its cost is completely reasonable. **Recommendations to others considering SolidWorks Electrical Professional:** The truth is that you do not have to think much, because when you implement this software in your organization you will get results from the beginning, the pieces and electrical components that you can design are of total perfection because the technology that this program has is at the forefront of the technology of the design software. Because when we made the pieces perfectly well, the customers recognized it and apparently we made ourselves felt in the work environment. Previously we took a long time to make electrical parts and the truth was not well designed, because before the organization where I work had a totally obsolete software and erea a little slow and cumbersome its use. But since the implementation of SolidWorks Electrical Professional the designs of the pieces are made in the best way and with the greatest possible accuracy. ### 6. The catalog of components to be used is very broad thus giving a huge margin of use of the program. **What do you dislike about SolidWorks Electrical Professional?** The price is somewhat expensive compared to other programs in the market including the same company so if the company is small it is not recommendable to start with this software. Along with that comes the benefit of changing multiple locations of the same information in one quick step. **What do you dislike about SolidWorks Electrical Professional?** The product is not where it need to be. There are issues with commands and functions that do not behave as they should (as with any software). But it seems to take SW a long time to resolve issues, even when major. There is no way to keep a fully functional backup and there is no way to lock down drawings in an active project. Any entities on the drawing not containing metadata are lost if SWE crashed or you have to rebuild your drawing through the database for any reason. **Recommendations to others considering SolidWorks Electrical Professional:** Check out ALL aspects before buying - not just the dog and pony show. If you need back-ups, steer clear (for now anyway), If revision control is a key, you must use their PDM (maybe it will work) **What problems is SolidWorks Electrical Professional solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has helped organize our drawings and the information contained in them - even with the pitfalls and occasional corrupt file.
