Solidmatics Reviews & Provider Details

Solidmatics is a fractional CTO and CPO advisory firm that provides senior technology leadership, hands-on engineering execution, and technical due diligence to SaaS startups and growth-stage software companies. The service is designed for non-technical founders, CEOs, and investors who need experienced technology leadership without the cost or timeline of a full-time executive hire. Unlike solo fractional CTO providers, Solidmatics operates a partner model where clients engage a team of senior operators, each specializing in a different domain of technology leadership. Engagements range from strategic advisory (technology strategy, team structuring, product roadmap alignment) to embedded execution (architecture redesign, cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, AI/LLM product development). Clients can scale engagement up or down based on current needs without long-term contracts. Core capabilities span fractional CTO and CPO leadership covering technology strategy, engineering process optimization, SDLC governance, hiring, and cross-functional alignment between product and engineering teams. The team delivers architecture and engineering reviews including codebase quality assessment, system design, microservices decomposition, and hands-on restructuring. AWS cloud services cover infrastructure design, security hardening, cost optimization, and migration work. AI and LLM product development includes multi-agent systems, RAG architectures, pre-training pipelines, and production deployment. SolidPulse, the firm's proprietary technical health assessment, produces a scored report from 0 to 100 combining automated scanning with structured team interviews to surface engineering risks. Solidmatics serves companies primarily in SaaS, B2B software, healthtech, e-commerce, fintech, and marketplaces. The team has direct experience operating within regulated environments including EU MDR, FDA, and ISO 13485. Industry experience spans early-stage startups building their first MVP through growth-stage companies managing teams of 40+ engineers. Typical use cases include providing interim technology leadership after a CTO departure, preparing engineering organizations for investor due diligence, diagnosing and resolving delivery bottlenecks in underperforming engineering teams, and integrating AI capabilities into existing SaaS products. The firm also supports investors and PE firms with pre-investment technical due diligence. Engagements start within days rather than the 3 to 6 months typical of full-time executive searches. The team is distributed across the EU and US, supporting clients in both time zones.
