## About Skoper
Skoper is construction estimating software that reads a set of plans and returns a complete estimate. Contractors upload their drawings as PDF and, about three minutes later, download an Excel workbook with the bid schedule, quantity takeoffs, and assumptions, plus a Word scope of work formatted to send with a proposal. Unlike takeoff tools that ask you to click and trace every quantity, Skoper reads every sheet as both an image and its text layer, so it sees the drawing and reads the schedules, notes, and dimensions on it. Every quantity in the workbook records the sheet it came from. Overhead, profit, insurance, bond, and contingency are separate formula rows you can change in Excel. Contractors load their own labor rates, unit prices, material prices, crew day rates, and subcontractor costs into a Price Book, and Skoper uses those rates wherever they match, marking each line "User Price Book." Anything unpriced gets a current market rate, marked as such. A browser editor lets you adjust any takeoff line after generation and rebuild both files at no extra charge. Skoper was built by Paul Maloney, a Florida general contractor (CBC #1266638), because commercial estimates were taking his team 8 to 10 hours each. It is used daily on his own company's bids across commercial, residential, restoration, and public works projects. Every account starts with 3 free estimates on plan sets up to 40 pages, with no credit card. Paid plans are $149 per month for 10 estimates or $349 per month for 30, with no per-user seats.
