## SAS Studio Reviews
  ### 1. Effective for Data Analysis, Needs UI Improvements

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nitish J. | Lead Statistical Analyst, Research, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about SAS Studio?**

I really like SAS Studio for its auto-fill feature for procedures or statements, which provides an added advantage in my workflow. It makes things a lot easier by providing errors and warnings separately in the log, so I don't have to search for them manually. This categorization is especially helpful because, in previous versions like SAS 9.4, I had to manually check the logs or use a search function after running code to find errors or warnings. In SAS Studio, these issues are separately categorized, making the whole process smoother and more efficient.

**What do you dislike about SAS Studio?**

The interface can be more intuitive and more friendly, and it can be slow especially when running large datasets. The auto-complete features are not extensive and could be more diverse. Managing multiple files can be confusing, so that can be improved.

**What problems is SAS Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAS Studio for data analysis and visualization, running statistical tests, and reporting results effectively. It helps with auto-filling procedures and categorizing log errors and warnings, saving me time.

  ### 2. SAS Studio Makes Data Analysis Simple and Powerful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aarsh B. | Technical officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SAS Studio?**

SAS Studio is a web-based tool that makes data analysis both simple and powerful. It provides a user-friendly interface with helpful coding features such as autocomplete and error checking, along with drag-and-drop workflows that are approachable for beginners. With strong connectivity to cloud platforms, databases, and a range of file formats, it supports smooth data exploration and reporting while balancing ease of use with more advanced analytics.

**What do you dislike about SAS Studio?**

One drawback of SAS Studio is that it can feel limited compared with full desktop SAS environments. Although the web-based interface is convenient, it can sometimes run slowly when working with large datasets or more complex tasks. The drag-and-drop features are useful for beginners, but they can feel restrictive when you need more advanced customization. In addition, the licensing costs are high, which makes it less accessible for smaller organizations or individual users. Overall, SAS Studio’s ease of use comes at the expense of speed, flexibility, and affordability.

**What problems is SAS Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAS Studio addresses the challenge of complex data analysis by offering a straightforward, web-based interface that makes powerful analytics easier to access. It removes the need for heavy installations, connects smoothly to multiple data sources, and helps streamline workflows by supporting both coding and drag-and-drop options. As a result, it saves time, lowers technical barriers, and enables faster insights for a wide range of users—whether beginners who are just starting to explore data or advanced analysts running more complex models.
