**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Connie B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2023

**What do you like best about SAS Intelligent Decisioning?**

SAS Intelligent Decisioning has a robust set of preset tools for evaluating most business rules. From the most basic (such as the sum of two numbers) to the most complex (such as the calculation of predictions of multidimensional conformity results for a lot based on individual measurements in a series of samples), logic can be created from an information architecture perspective rather than a software development perspective. SAS Intelligent Decisioning has enabled us to develop a baseline of the validations we use for customers in order to apply them particularly in new customers by activating them, which has greatly reduced the time required to construct new rule applications and add rules.

**What do you dislike about SAS Intelligent Decisioning?**

It was a significant challenge during our implementation because we had to restructure the workflow and pass more data than we had initially included in our API application so that everything was available to evaluate our various commercial rules. Some of the criteria that require more logic are difficult to identify, some of the pre-existing data do not always correspond perfectly to what I would anticipate in our file, and it would be advantageous to have more defined or more complicated instances.

**What problems is SAS Intelligent Decisioning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're utilizing SAS Intelligent Decisioning to see if our estimations are accurate based on the supplier benefits explanation. Instead of our technical staff writing these complicated rules, SAS Intelligent Decisioning enables us to customize these sophisticated rules at the level of individual operators by our commercial users. We were able to cut the time it took to build a client file and include all of the necessary rules thanks to Sas Intelligent Decisioning. Because base files do not include all of the most popular rules, when creating a new application of rules, we just need to activate the most common ones.
