What do you like best about SAPMachine?

It is opensource and a good alternative for the SAP JVM. It also has support for the application containers like Tomcate9. It has a support for the Java version 11 and 17. It has lessempry consumption and lesser CPU overhead. Main key point is, it is supported by SAP so there will be the long time support for the JDK available. What do you dislike about SAPMachine?

Name is Miss leading that causes the user to understand that this might be the ERP but it is actually a JDK. It is a SAP product so it should be little bit better than the official JDK. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SAPMachine solving and how is that benefiting you?

Considering that enterprise uses the SAP system it requires to run the application through JDK. SAPMachine provides that support for the SAP System. It is also the downstream project of openJDK so it has all the features that are in the OpenJDK currently. What do you like best about SAPMachine?

1. Longterm Enterprise support - With SAP Sucessfactors, Concur, HANA, CRM deployed on premises and cloud. It's best to have the environment being taken care by SAP and it does support development of other products using its JVM.

2. Installation and Implementation is seamless with images which can be set up in few minutes to run on Docker.

3. Its one of the leading contributor for the openJDK deveopment, so the trust on the long term support and backward compatibility is ensured with every release.

4. Amazing community support and by SAP team.

5. Enablling UseDynamicNumberOfGCThreads by default and profiling tools - features added by SAP to the opensource made it optimised for performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAPMachine?

It would be great if major features are brought in with the contributions made to the open source version.

I feel there should be more visibility for this product among the opensource world to invite people around the world to contribute and make it a native environment for all the enterprise level Java based applictions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It solves the problem of having a one development environment and ecosystem to set up the SAP products running on JVM seamless to use. Its more driven to provide an environment for the long term which customers would be happy to have it a free of cost and morever which is taking care by the product team.
