## Runway Reviews
  ### 1. Runway Gen-4 Turns Marketing Briefs into Polished Videos Fast

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammed A. | Technical Project Manager , Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

Runway has completely changed how fast we can turn a marketing concept into an actual video asset. The text-to-video and image-to-video workflows with Gen-4 let us go from a rough creative brief to a polished, on-brand clip in a single afternoon instead of coordinating a full shoot or waiting on a freelance editor. Character and style consistency across shots is the standout feature for us — earlier AI video tools would make a product or spokesperson look different from one clip to the next, and Runway actually holds that consistency, which matters a lot when you're stitching together a promo sequence. Motion Brush gives us fine control over how elements move within a frame without needing After Effects-level skills on the team, and the built-in editor means we can trim, layer, and finalize a cut without exporting to a third tool. For a small marketing team, the sheer speed-to-output ratio is the biggest win.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

The credit-based pricing takes some getting used to, and it's easy to burn through credits quickly once you start iterating on 4K or longer clips — a single round of revisions can add up faster than you'd expect from a flat subscription mindset. Fine-grained control over very specific details (exact text on a product label, precise multi-person interactions) still requires several regeneration attempts, so it's not fully "one-shot" for complex marketing scenes. Onboarding is mostly self-serve through tutorials and community content rather than dedicated hand-holding, so there's a bit of a learning curve the first week to understand which model (Gen-4 vs Gen-4 Turbo vs Aleph for edits) fits which task.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway lets us produce short promotional and social-ready video content without the overhead of a full production pipeline — no location scouting, no actors, no lengthy edit cycles. This has meaningfully cut our turnaround time for campaign assets and let us test more creative variations before committing budget to a polished final version. The consistency across generated shots also means we can build a short narrative arc for a promo instead of a single disconnected clip, which has made our output feel more like an actual ad and less like a novelty AI demo.

  ### 2. Runway Makes AI Video Creation Fast, Easy, and Creative

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anjaly T. | Reporting and Analytics Specialist , Public Relations and Communications, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

What I like best about Runway is how easy it is to create and edit videos using AI. Features like background removal, text-to-video, and image-to-video save a lot of time and reduce the need for complex editing. The interface is simple, and I can quickly try different creative ideas without spending hours on manual editing.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

One thing I don't like is that some AI-generated results need a few attempts to get the desired output. Rendering complex videos can also take time, and some advanced features are available only in higher-priced plans. Better consistency in AI outputs and more affordable pricing would improve the overall experience.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Runway, creating and editing videos required more manual work and advanced editing skills. Now, I can generate, edit, and enhance videos with AI in much less time. This has made it easier to create content, test creative ideas quickly, and produce high-quality videos without spending hours on editing.

  ### 3. Fast, Intuitive AI Video Editing—But Consistency and Cost Need Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhinav J. | CGI Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

What I like best about Runway is how easy it makes advanced video editing and AI generation feel. The interface is clean, the tools are fast to understand, and you can test creative ideas without needing a very technical workflow. Features like background removal, object cleanup, motion tracking, and text-to-video can save a lot of time, especially during concept development. It is not perfect, but it is very useful for quickly turning an idea into something visual.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

What I dislike about Runway is that the results can be inconsistent, especially when generating longer or more detailed videos. Sometimes the subject, face, or background changes between frames, which makes the output difficult to use professionally. The credit system can also become expensive when you need multiple attempts to get a usable result. It is great for experimentation and concept work, but I still feel it needs better control, consistency, and reliability for final production.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway helps solve the problem of time-consuming video editing and content creation. Tasks like removing backgrounds, cleaning up objects, generating visual concepts, and creating short video sequences can be done much faster. It benefits me by speeding up my workflow, reducing repetitive manual work, and helping me present ideas quickly before spending more time on final production.

  ### 4. Runway Makes Video Editing Faster with Intuitive, Time-Saving AI Tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prerak J. | Customer Success Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

I've really enjoyed using Runway because it helps me edit videos much more efficiently. The AI features handle a lot of the time-consuming tasks, like removing backgrounds or unwanted objects, and the interface is simple enough that I can jump right into creating instead of spending time figuring out the software.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

If I had to point out one downside, it would be the credit system. I like trying different ideas before settling on the final result, so the credits can get used up pretty fast. I've also found that the AI doesn't always get things right on the first try, which means I sometimes need to tweak the prompt or generate the output a few times before I'm happy with it.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, Runway solves the problem of spending too much time on repetitive editing tasks. Things like removing backgrounds, cleaning up unwanted objects, or creating visuals from a simple idea can now be done much faster. It lets me focus more on the creative side of making videos instead of getting caught up in the technical work, which makes the whole process more enjoyable and productive.

  ### 5. Runway Makes Turning Ideas Into Video Assets Fast and Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muzammil M. | Founder – Muzammil Graphic | Interior and Graphic Designer | Transforming Spaces and Brands Visually , Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

I have been using Runway for around 3 years, mainly for exploring creative ideas, generating visual concepts, and creating video assets for different design projects. What I like most is how quickly I can turn an idea into a visual output without spending hours on manual editing or complex software. The workflow feels smooth, and features like AI video generation, image-to-video, and editing tools help me experiment with different styles and concepts much faster. It has become a useful part of my creative process, especially when I need to create content, presentations, or visual drafts quickly.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

The main area where I think Runway can improve is consistency in AI-generated results. Sometimes achieving the exact output I imagine requires multiple attempts, especially when maintaining the same character, style, or details across different scenes. The credit system also needs careful management because experimenting with many generations can consume credits quickly. However, these are common challenges with AI creative tools and do not reduce the overall usefulness of the platform.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway helps me reduce the time required to create visual content. Earlier, creating certain video concepts or animations required more manual effort and multiple tools, but now I can quickly generate ideas, create drafts, and test different creative directions in much less time. As a designer, it helps me focus more on creativity and storytelling instead of getting stuck in the technical production process. It is especially helpful for creating quick prototypes, social media visuals, and exploring new creative possibilities.

  ### 6. Powerful, Intuitive AI Video Creation—But Consistency and Credits Need Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Balkishan N. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

What I like most about Runway is its ability to make high-quality AI video creation accessible through an intuitive interface. It combines state-of-the-art generative AI with practical creative tools, allowing ideas to move from concept to polished content quickly. I also appreciate how rapidly the platform evolves, consistently introducing new capabilities that push the boundaries of AI-powered content creation while remaining usable for creators, marketers, and developers alike.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

One area I'd like to see improved is generation consistency. While the results can be impressive, maintaining the same characters, objects, or scenes across multiple shots can still require several iterations. Rendering can also be time-consuming for longer or higher-quality videos, and the credit-based pricing can become expensive for experimentation. Improving consistency, iteration speed, and cost efficiency would make the creative workflow even smoother.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway helps me quickly create high-quality short videos for YouTube without needing advanced video editing or animation skills. Rather than spending hours filming, editing, and adding visual effects, I can generate engaging AI videos from simple prompts in just minutes. This cuts my production time significantly and makes it easier to publish content more consistently. It also lets me test new video ideas faster, create educational and marketing content more easily, and focus more on storytelling and growing my YouTube channel instead of getting stuck on the technical side of video production.

  ### 7. Easy Way to Turn Creative Ideas Into AI Images and Videos

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caneel M. | Sr. Software Engineer , Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

What I like most is how simple the interface is. I can start a new project quickly without spending a lot of time learning the platform. The AI tools are well organized, and it's easy to experiment with different creative ideas. I also like that everything is available in one workspace instead of switching between different tools.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

The free credits run out quite quickly when trying different ideas, especially for video generation. Some advanced features are only available on higher plans, so I have to be selective about what I generate.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway helps me create visual concepts much faster than doing everything manually. When I want to explore an idea for a presentation, social media post, or design concept, I can generate a draft in a few minutes and then improve it further. It saves time during the early creative stage.

  ### 8. Fast, Accessible Visual Creation—But Results Can Be Inconsistent

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arleigh B. | ceo, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

What I like most is how quickly Runway helps me turn an idea into something visual. It makes experimenting, editing, and iterating feel far more approachable and accessible, even if I don’t have advanced video-editing experience.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

The biggest downside is that the results can feel inconsistent. You often have to regenerate several times to get something usable, which can burn through credits quickly. Some of the tools also have a learning curve, and it is not always clear which settings will produce the best result.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway solves the problem of needing advanced editing skills, expensive software, or a full creative team to produce high-quality visual content. It helps me move from an idea to a finished video much faster, test different concepts quickly, and create more content without relying on outside editors for every small project.

  ### 9. Amazing Logos, Images, and AI Video Creation with Runway

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanjana C. | Designer and Developer, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

I have been using Runway for more than two years now, and I really love it.
Even before chatGPT started making images, Runway was my favourite tool. It creates amazing logos and pictures. And now it generates full ai video too. That’s the main part I love Runway.
Also you have free credits if you don’t want to purchase any subscription.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

I love using Runway, So there are no dislikes from my end.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a UI/UX designer, Runway solved two big problems for me that are Saving time on creating graphics/assets for websites or social media posts and another one is video generation.
Without any deep expertise in graphics and video editing i am able to give good results to my clients.

  ### 10. Eye-catching videos and great creative freedom without being an expert in editing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego d. | Técnico superior en telecomunicaciones e informática, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

Allows creating eye-catching videos without needing advanced editing skills. Additionally, it saves time in the ideation phase and in the creation of visual effects. It can be useful for designers, students, artists, filmmakers, and content creators.

It offers great creative freedom, as a simple description can be transformed into a visual scene.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

The results do not always match exactly what is written in the prompt.

Sometimes errors may appear, for example in the hands, faces, texts, objects, or movements.

Additionally, the generated videos are usually short clips, so it is often necessary to join several scenes to create a longer piece.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main advantage is that it facilitates the production of audiovisual content quickly, even for people who do not have much experience in editing. This allows the company to save a lot of time and streamline work without complications. This avoids resorting to third parties to perform these tasks easily, thereby reducing expenses.

  ### 11. Smooth, Efficient AI Video Editing That Makes Polished Content Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohan Narain N. | Marketing executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

The AI-powered video generation and editing features stand out the most for me. Tools like background removal, motion tracking, object replacement, and text-to-video make it much easier to create polished content without spending hours on manual edits, and the overall workflow feels smooth and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

Some AI generations take a few retries before I get the exact result I’m looking for, and rendering longer videos can take more time than I expect.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway helps us create professional marketing videos for our health checkup campaigns much faster. It cuts down our editing time, makes ad creation simpler, and allows us to publish promotional content more consistently without having to rely so heavily on a design team.

  ### 12. All-in-One AI Video Creation with Impressive Motion and Consistent Visual Style

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

The biggest advantage of this platform is how much easier and simpler it is for us to produce a professional-quality video creation just using an AI. And instead of juggling with multiple editing tools, we can generate videos and animate images, along with removing backgrounds and extending clips, where we can create cinematic effects right from a single platform. And the latest video generation model produces impressive motion quality while maintaining a good consistency between scenes. I also like the ability to start with the reference image and generate multiple shots with a similar visual style. Overall, this was extremely useful for storytelling, advertisement and product videos for social media content. Their interfaces are clean and approachable, and beginner-friendly, which provides enough creative control.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

Although the output quality is good, their credit-based pricing means no longer can projects consume credits fairly quickly and having transparent pricing right at the onboarding stage would be a create add on to this platform. Also, it often takes multiple generations to achieve the exact scene that we are looking for, especially for complex prompt and rendering multiple times can also be very much more, depending on the demand. While prompt adherence has improved, highly detailed scenes sometimes still require several tries. I would also say having more detailed editing capabilities after a video has been created would be good, rather than regenerating the overall video again.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform reduces the time which need to create high quality visual content, the task which are previously required stock footage and motion designers for visual effects software or lengthy editing sessions now can be completed much faster using an AI assisted generation and for marketing campaigns and presentations for other conceptual videos this platform allowed us to move from concept to finished visuals more quickly which helped us to reduce the production cost which also created a more space for our creative team to be flexible in experimenting with multiple concept and finalizing the content in overall.

  ### 13. Runway Speeds Up Talking-Head Background Swaps and Saves Hours

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason A. | Senior Video Production Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

The biggest win for us has been using Runway to isolate our analysts in talking head videos so we can swap out the background. Before, that meant an editor rotoscoping frame by frame, which ate up hours. Now Runway gets us a clean isolation way faster. We're saving about 3 hours per project, and across 32 Analyst Conversation videos last year that's nearly 100 hours back. That's 100 hours our editors get to spend on actual creative work instead of manual cleanup, which means faster turnarounds for clients too.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

The main pain point has been render times, especially when isolating subjects against backgrounds. Some jobs take longer than we'd like when we're up against a client deadline. We've also seen some inconsistency in output quality when generating video from static backgrounds. Sometimes it nails it, other times we're re-running the same prompt to get something usable. Pricing hasn't been an issue for us though. It's competitive with other tools we've looked at, and we've never come close to burning through our credits.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The big problem Runway solves for us is letting us explore creative and branding directions without having to commit to a full production. Instead of scheduling a photoshoot or a shoot day just to test a concept, we can generate mockups and style options first and see what actually works before spending the time and budget on it. It's made the whole front end of a project faster and a lot less risky, since we're not guessing at what a direction will look like, we're actually seeing it.

  ### 14. Groundbreaking Gen-3 Video Tools, But Credits and Rendering Delays Add Friction

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea C. | photographer and filmmaker, Media Production, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

What I like most about Runway is its groundbreaking suite of generative video tools—especially Gen-3 Alpha—which can produce hyper-realistic video clips and cinematic motion from text or image prompts. The interface feels intuitive, and the advanced editing features, such as the motion brush and green screen tools, make it much easier to achieve complex visual effects, even for creators with different levels of experience.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

What I dislike most about Runway is the steep cost of generating high-resolution outputs and longer video durations, since those choices can quickly burn through subscription credits. On top of that, during peak-traffic periods the rendering times can sometimes slow things down and create frustrating bottlenecks in a fast-paced production workflow. Finally, getting precise control over complex character motion—and keeping consistency across multiple shots—still takes a lot of trial and error.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway addresses the high cost and technical complexity of traditional video production by letting creators generate cinematic visual effects, animations, and realistic footage using only AI prompts. For me, this streamlines visual prototyping and offers a fast, cost-effective way to produce professional-grade video content, along with background assets for multimedia projects.

  ### 15. Runway Speeds Up High-Quality Ad Creative and Video Experimentation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

What I like best about Runway is how quickly it turns creative concepts into high-quality visual assets. It helps streamline the ad creation process by making it easier to generate, edit, and experiment with video concepts without needing extensive production resources. The ability to quickly test different creative directions, styles, and variations is especially valuable for developing engaging campaigns and improving creative performance.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

What I dislike about Runway is that while the creative capabilities are impressive, the output can sometimes require multiple iterations to get the exact look, messaging, or brand consistency needed for professional ad campaigns. Some advanced features also have a learning curve, and managing credits/usage can become a consideration when producing a high volume of creative assets.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway is helping solve the challenge of creating high-quality ad visuals quickly and efficiently without relying on lengthy production timelines or extensive creative resources. It allows teams to quickly develop concepts, test different creative ideas, and produce video assets that support campaign needs. This helps speed up the creative process, improve collaboration between teams, and make it easier to scale content production for different audiences and channels.

  ### 16. Runway Makes AI Video Creation Fast, Intuitive, and High-Quality

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack J. | Tax analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

What I like best about Runway is how easy it makes AI-powered video creation, even for people without advanced editing skills. The interface is clean and intuitive, and features like text-to-video, image-to-video, background removal, and object editing work together in a seamless workflow. It significantly reduces the time needed to create high-quality visual content, making it useful for marketing, presentations, social media, and creative projects. I also appreciate that new AI features are added regularly, keeping the platform innovative and improving the overall user experience.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

One thing I don't like is that getting the best results sometimes takes a few tries because the AI doesn't always generate exactly what I have in mind on the first attempt. The free plan also feels a bit limited, and some of the most useful features are only available with a paid subscription. Other than that, it's a solid platform, and I haven't run into any major issues.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway helps me create videos much faster without needing advanced editing skills or spending hours on manual work. I use it to generate visuals, remove backgrounds, and quickly turn ideas into short videos, which saves a lot of time. Instead of switching between multiple tools, I can do most of the work in one place, making my workflow much smoother and helping me produce content more efficiently.

  ### 17. Runway Feels Built for Production: Consistent Image-to-Video, Powerful Editing, One Dashboard

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luca P. | Chief Operations Officer DEQUA Studio | Formerly CTO in MarTech, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

The reason Runway became the default in my studio is not any single model. It is that the whole thing is built like a production environment rather than a prompt box with a render button, and that difference shows up in every project we push through it.

Image-to-video with Gen-4 is where most of our actual output comes from. We rarely generate from a bare text prompt. The workflow that works is locking the look in a still first, either a photo from a shoot or a generated frame, and then letting Gen-4 handle the motion. The subject consistency is the part that changed what we could sell to clients. A character or a product that keeps the same face, the same materials, and the same lighting logic across separate generations means we can build a sequence of shots that reads as one piece, not a collage of AI clips that happen to share a color grade. Earlier generations of this technology fell apart exactly here, and Gen-4 mostly does not.

Aleph is the feature I did not expect to rely on and now use weekly. It edits footage we already have instead of generating from nothing. Bring in a real clip, describe the change, and it returns the same shot with the change applied while keeping the original motion. We have used it to swap a daytime product shot into an evening mood for a seasonal campaign, and to remove a background element a client objected to after the shoot was already wrapped. The alternative in both cases was a reshoot or an afternoon of manual VFX work. Neither happened.

Act-Two deserves its own mention because it replaces an entire category of vendor. Record a performance on a phone, upload it as the driving video, and the character in your generated footage picks up the gesture and the facial expression. It is not flawless, hands and fast movement still need a second attempt sometimes, but the fact that a two-person team can do performance transfer at all, without a mocap studio, without suits, without calibration, is the kind of capability that used to be a budget line, not a feature.

The multi-model setup quietly became one of the biggest reasons to keep the subscription. One dashboard now covers:

- Runway's own Gen-4.5, Gen-4, and Gen-4 Turbo
- Google's Veo models
- Kling and Seedance for the shots where their motion style fits better
- The image models we use for start frames

Before this, we held separate accounts across three vendors, compared outputs by downloading and re-uploading, and paid three invoices. Now the comparison happens in one interface with one asset library underneath it, and picking the right model per shot became a two-minute decision instead of a context switch.

The built-in editor closes the loop. Generations land in a timeline where we can trim, sequence, and export up to 4K without round-tripping into Premiere for drafts. For final client delivery we still finish in a proper NLE, no illusions there. But for the internal review stage, where the question is whether the sequence works at all, staying inside one tool removes a whole export-import cycle per iteration.

Explore Mode on the top plan changed how the team experiments. Unlimited generations at a relaxed rate means junior people can iterate on a concept for an hour without anyone watching a credit balance drain. That psychological shift matters more than it sounds. When every attempt costs money, people stop attempting, and the quality of the eventual output drops with it.

Commercial rights are clean. We own what we generate, on every plan, no attribution required. For an agency context this is not a footnote, it is the first question legal asks, and Runway's answer is short.

Workflows is newer and still finding its shape, but the idea is right. You chain steps, an image generation feeding into an image-to-video pass feeding into an upscale, and run the chain as one unit instead of babysitting each stage by hand. For repeatable formats, we produce a recurring social series with a fixed visual recipe, setting the recipe up once and feeding it new inputs is exactly the kind of boring automation that saves an hour a week without anyone noticing.

The lip sync and voice tools on the Pro tier get qualified approval from me. Custom voice creation paired with lip sync is good enough for internal drafts and for scratch narration a client reviews before we book a voice actor. It is not good enough to replace the voice actor on final delivery, at least not for the languages we work in, and I would not claim otherwise. As a previz tool it earns its place. As a finishing tool, not yet.

Upscaling and watermark removal on paid plans work as stated. Nothing to add, they do the job.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

The credit system is the part of Runway I have a genuinely complicated relationship with, and it is the first thing I warn new team members about. Credits are not a flat currency. Different models burn at very different rates, a second of one model costs a multiple of a second of another, and a generation that misses the prompt costs exactly the same as one that lands. There is no preview step before credits are committed, so a complex prompt that the model misreads is money spent on footage nobody will use. Our mitigation is a house rule: draft on Gen-4 Turbo at low cost until the composition and motion are right, and only then re-run the locked prompt on the expensive model. That discipline cut our wasted spend substantially, but the fact that we needed a house rule at all says something about how the pricing is structured.

Prompt adherence on complicated instructions is the second recurring friction. Single-subject, single-action prompts land reliably. Ask for two characters doing different things in the same shot, or a specific camera move combined with a specific object interaction, and the hit rate drops noticeably. The model tends to pick the part of the prompt it understood best and quietly ignores the rest. We work around it by splitting complex shots into simpler generations and compositing, which works, but it is planning overhead the marketing does not mention.

The relaxed queue on Explore Mode is slow when it matters most. Off-peak it is fine. On a deadline afternoon a single generation can sit for long enough that the unlimited label starts to feel theoretical, and there is no way to stack a batch of prompts and walk away, you wait for each one. For deadline work we fall back to credited generations at priority speed, which is the intended design, I suspect, but it stings on a plan at this price.

Content moderation produces false positives more often than it should. Perfectly ordinary commercial footage, people in normal summer clothing, a gym scene for a fitness client, occasionally gets flagged with no explanation of which element triggered it. The generation fails, the reason stays opaque, and you rewrite the prompt by guesswork. It has never blocked a project outright, but the trial and error wastes time and, before we adopted the draft-cheap-first rule, wasted credits too.

Vertical short-form is workable but clearly not the native format. The platform thinks in cinematic horizontal terms, and producing 9:16 content for Reels and TikTok involves more cropping and reframing than a social-first tool would require. For teams whose entire output is vertical social, this is worth weighing before committing.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The core problem is the cost and latency of producing custom video for client work. Before Runway, anything beyond stock footage meant a shoot: location, crew, talent, editing, two to three weeks of calendar time, and a budget that pushed smaller clients toward stock libraries everyone has already seen. Now a large share of the b-roll and mood footage in our campaign videos is generated. The client brief comes in, the visual concepts exist as moving footage by the end of the week, and shoots get reserved for the hero content that genuinely needs a camera. The budget conversation with mid-size clients changed shape because of this.

Concept validation moved to the front of the process. The old sequence was writing a treatment, hoping the client could imagine it, shooting it, and discovering in review that they imagined something else. That failure mode was expensive precisely because it surfaced last. Now we generate rough versions of the key shots during the pitch phase, the client reacts to actual footage instead of adjectives, and disagreements about direction happen before money is spent rather than after. Pitches with moving concepts in them also simply win more often than decks full of reference images pulled from other people's work.

Aleph solved the reshoot problem, which is the most painful problem in this business because it always arrives after the budget is closed. A client changes their mind about a background, a product label gets a redesign mid-campaign, a shot needs a different time of day. Each of those used to mean either a reshoot nobody budgeted or an uncomfortable conversation about scope. Being able to apply the change to the existing footage and keep the original performance turned a category of crisis into a category of task.

Tool consolidation is the quieter benefit that shows up on the accounting side. We were running separate subscriptions for video generation, a second model provider we kept for its motion style, and an upscaling service. Runway absorbed all three. Fewer invoices is the small part. The bigger part is that the team stopped fragmenting its skills across interfaces, and the asset library lives in one place instead of being scattered across whichever platform a given clip happened to be generated on.

Character consistency across a campaign used to be the reason we told clients AI video was not ready for brand work. A mascot or a recurring presenter that drifts into a slightly different person between shots is unusable for anything with a brand guideline attached. Gen-4's subject consistency made recurring characters viable, and we have since delivered a multi-video campaign built around a generated presenter who looks like herself in every clip. That single capability moved AI video from the experimental column to the deliverable column in our service list.

Performance work stopped requiring a performance budget. When a client wanted an animated character to deliver lines with actual expression, the honest answer used to be that it costs more than the whole video. With Act-Two, someone on my team records the delivery at their desk and the character inherits it. The ceiling on what a small production can include got visibly higher, and we now pitch character-driven concepts we would have self-censored two years ago.

Versioning content across formats and markets got cheaper in a way clients directly feel. A campaign used to be shot once, in one aspect ratio, and every additional cut for a different placement or a different market was an editing job constrained by whatever the camera captured on the day. When the footage is generated, producing an alternate version of a shot, a different background for a regional audience, a variation with different on-screen product packaging, is a new generation rather than a new production. The before-state was telling a client that the German market version would reuse the same footage with new supers because that was all the budget allowed. The after-state is delivering variations that look intentionally made for each market, from the same working files, in the same week.

The last benefit is speed of iteration as a habit rather than an event. Because generating a variation is minutes instead of days, we explore more directions per project than we ever did. Some of that exploration is waste, plenty of generations go nowhere. But the best idea in a campaign is now frequently something we found on attempt fifteen, and attempt fifteen used to be a luxury no timeline allowed.

  ### 18. Next-Gen AI Video Generation Made Easy with Amazing Quality

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arunalo S. | Digital Marketing Executive, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

Next Gen video generation platform. Easy to use. Video output quality is amazing. Generated videos can be used in multiple platforms. Saves times and increases productivity. Helps in generating bulk videos easily. One of the best AI Video generation tool.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

The free version doesn't let you create vvideo. It is only restricted to Image generation, which is really suffocating. I expect that with the free credit, at least 2-3 videos can be generated.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AI Video generation and time. It takes a lot of time and effort to create proper Meta worthy videos for PPC work. It helps create videos which can be used as Ads creatives.

  ### 19. Easy-to-Learn Video Creation That Turns Photos into Videos Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keri K. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

It’s an easy-to-use video creation platform that’s simple to learn. I really like that I can upload pictures and turn them into a video without a lot of extra fluff or other things getting in the way.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

You only get so many credits with the free version so it is easy to max them out quickly. I do think the paid versions are worth it.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is saving us time because it can create videos in a quarter of the time it took us to do it manually. We also need less staffing because it can create multiple social posts for us at once.

  ### 20. Runway Puts Real Directing Control in Your Hands

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nidhin T. | Marketing Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

Honestly, what sets Runway apart for me is how much control you actually get over the video. Tools like the Motion Brush and camera controls make it feel like you're actually directing a scene instead of just rolling the dice with AI. It’s easily one of the most practical and creative tools I’ve used for video.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

Runway uses a credit-based tier system. High-end video models (like Gen-3 or flagship Gen-4 models) consume credits rapidly. Because AI video takes trial and error, a few bad renders can quickly eat through monthly credits before getting a single usable clip

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can generate B-roll, motion graphics, and background scenes directly from text prompts or still photos in seconds. This cuts production cycles from weeks to hours and lets small marketing teams produce high-tier visual content without big agency budgets.

  ### 21. Fast, Easy AI Video Creation with Runway’s Text-to-Video and Editing Tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parmanand J. | Frontend Developer, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

What I like most about Runway is how quickly it turns ideas into high-quality videos. The interface is simple, the AI tools are easy to use, and features like text-to-video, image generation, and background editing save a lot of time. It makes creating professional-looking content much faster without requiring advanced editing skills.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

Runway is powerful, but generating the perfect result often takes multiple attempts. More credits and faster rendering would improve the experience.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway helps us create high-quality videos much faster, reducing editing time and making content production more efficient.

  ### 22. A fast and userfriendly AI video tool for creative content

Runway makes video creation much eaiser by turning ideas, images and clips intro professional looking videos with minimal effort. The interface is intuitive, and the AI tools help speed up editing and content production.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

The credit system can be limiting when working on multiple projects, and some advanced features are available only in higher-tier plans.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway helps me to create marketing and social media videos much faster than traditional editing software. It reduces production time, simplifies complex editing tasks, and allows me to produce more content without needing extensive video editing experience.

  ### 23. Easy to Start, Plenty of Room to Grow in Runway

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel C. | Brand Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

It has plenty of runway (ha!) for growing into its full capabilities. Easy and intuitive enough to get started right away, creating immediate value, yet I see a lot of features and models I have access to that I can grow into.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

The only downside to using Runway is the time it takes to render the clips. "Good things come to those who wait" is proven true, though, so the delayed gratification is worth it.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can start with an idea for a clip or video that we don't yet have resources, time of year, or other things needed for it. Runway allows us to see our idea in action before we commit to it. Runway is perfect for ideation in that respect, allowing our agency to get projects going sooner than later.

  ### 24. A Time-Saving Tool for AI-Powered Video Creation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohd danish K. | Performance Marketing Specialist , Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

What I like most about Runway is how quickly it helps me turn ideas into visual content. Its AI-powered tools are straightforward to use and save a lot of time when I’m creating new videos or editing existing ones.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

Some AI-generated results can be inconsistent, and I sometimes need a few tries to get the output I’m looking for. Processing times can also vary, depending on how complex the task is.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway speeds up video creation and editing by automating tasks that would normally take much longer to do manually. That time savings makes the whole process smoother and helps me produce content more efficiently.

  ### 25. Incredibly User-Friendly Text-to-Video with Consistent Characters

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan S. | Business Development Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

Its user-friendliness was beyond anything I’ve experienced. I absolutely love the text-to-video option, where I can describe exactly what I want and then—poof—a video appears. It also keeps the characters looking exactly as they did in the first video, which makes everything feel consistent.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

Just a couple of things, really. First, their credit-based pricing system can get expensive if your content isn’t generating enough to cover the cost. Second, there are limitations on video length, and video generation can be slower depending on the plan you choose and during periods of high demand.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to generate ads that are attractive and draws in the customers. This works great when being utilized by our marketing officials.

  ### 26. Versatile AI Chat, Image, and Video Generation in One Place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash R. | Fresher, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

Runway offers a range of services, including artificial intelligence chat assistance as well as image and video generation, depending on what the user needs.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

Credits are limited and seem to get used up quickly. The prompt also needs to be written very clearly and exactly as required; otherwise, the output can change.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway helps solve problems by saving time, since it speeds up the work of generating outputs and makes the overall process faster.

  ### 27. High-Quality AI Video Generation That Brings Creative Ideas to Life

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

What I like best about Runway is the quality of its AI video generation and how easy it is to turn creative ideas into videos. The platform offers useful controls for generating and refining clips, and the results can be visually impressive when you provide a good prompt or reference image. It is especially useful for quickly experimenting with concepts that would otherwise require significantly more time and resources to produce.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

The main downside is that the output can sometimes be inconsistent, especially with complex movements, people, or scenes with many details. You may need to generate a video multiple times before getting the result you want, which can use credits quickly. More control over specific movements and consistency across longer sequences would make the experience even better.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway helps reduce the time and effort required to create video content and experiment with creative concepts. Instead of relying on a complete video production workflow for every idea, I can quickly generate visual concepts and short video clips using AI. This makes it easier to test different creative directions and produce engaging video content faster.

  ### 28. Consistent Characters for In-Depth Video Editing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyrail H. | Full Stack Web Developer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

I would say it has the ability to maintain consistent characters for in-depth video editing, allowing users to alter camera angles and remove backgrounds.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

I dislike how inconsistent the video output is and some time 1struggle with unwanted background pixelation, morphing anatomy, and an inability to smoothly

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’ve noticed visual inconsistencies across video clips, along with high production costs and slow, iterative workflows that make the overall process feel drawn out.

  ### 29. Inspires Fresh Ideas and Streamlines Multi-Video Editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Davide A. | Performance Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

Inspiration, developing ideas to share with the creative team, and editing multiple videos with different details.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

It’s quite slow, and sometimes it hallucinates and gives completely different ideas than what I’m asking for.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The team has the capacity to understand and convey what I have in mind to the creative team. And basically give less work to the creative team, where we don't have much capacity

  ### 30. Great for ecommerce photoshoots and promotional videos

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

Runway makes it easy to generate videos for my clients. I mostly use the API for ecommerce shops, product videos, and ecommerce photoshoots. It is fast and fits well into my workflow.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

The results can be inconsistent, so I sometimes need to generate a few versions before getting the right video or image. API costs can also add up when testing many outputs.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway helps me create product promotional videos and ecommerce visuals without arranging a full video shoot or photoshoot every time. Using the API also lets me add generation directly to my workflow and deliver content faster.

  ### 31. Fast, Intuitive AI Video Creation with High-Quality Results

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

It makes video creation incredibly fast, thanks to powerful AI features like text-to-video, image-to-video, background removal, and motion tracking. The interface is intuitive, it produces high-quality results, and it eliminates much of the manual editing work.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

Some of the more advanced AI features can be resource-intensive, and rendering times occasionally increase during peak usage. Pricing can also feel a bit high for individual creators or small teams.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It simplifies video production by automating time-consuming editing tasks. It helps me create professional-quality content faster, experiment with creative ideas, and significantly reduce production time.

**What do you like best about Runway?**

I can create or edit videos super fast and easy as I don't know how to edit. I can integrate them in Make or Claude

Depending on the length and size of the videos that you create, you use a lot of credits

Exceptional for marketing departments to create videos without a designer in the team

  ### 33. High-Quality Videos from Simple Text Prompts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lakshmidas P. | 15 years of Experience in U.S. telecom provisioning, Telecommunications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

Runway can generate advanced, high-quality videos using simple text prompts, which makes the task much easier.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

The free plan is pretty limited, so the subscription ends up feeling expensive for individuals. The free version also adds a watermark. It only creates short videos, so if I need something longer I have to stitch multiple clips together, which is time-consuming.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway helps me save time by automating video generation, which allows me to turn my ideas into video presentations for social media.

  ### 34. Accurate, Detailed Videos That Match the Prompt

**What do you like best about Runway?**

Generate consistent and natural videos, with a high level of detail, and do it quickly.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

Compared to other AI video generation tools, which also offer very good quality, this one has high costs.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Generate videos without having any recorded material, using a reference image or even just text. If you don't have the budget to produce an expensive video, with Runway you don't need an expensive setup, nor do you need to pay models, nor wait a long time for editing.

  ### 36. Runway AI Generates the Best Images and Videos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saragena S. | Independent Travel Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

Runway AI helps me create images and generate videos.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

N/A. I like everything about Runway; it generates the best images.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I want to share my personal experience. My grandma passed away when I was a kid, and I always wished I had a photo or video with her. I gave a prompt to Runway, and it generated a 10-second video that means a lot to me. I’ll always keep that video close to my heart.

  ### 37. Intuitive, Feature-Rich Platform with Professional Results, Easy Revisions & Powerful AI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

The platform is intuitive and offers a wide range of helpful features. The results look professional and are straightforward to revise. Performance is high-level, as are the AI features. The pricing/potential for ROI is competitive.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

I found the platform somewhat limited in integrations - it required manually exporting files to use in other programs. That being said, the support was helpful in finding ways to do this efficiently.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helpful in generating AI videos from prompts, and from existing photos.

  ### 38. Aleph 2.0 Is Outstanding for Editing Both IRL and Generated Videos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abeer K. | Freelance Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

The latest model, Aleph 2.0, is outstanding for editing both IRL video and generated videos, which is rare among the models currently available.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

Maybe it’s missing models from some of the other generative model providers out there.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m a visual designer, so I use a lot of AI-generated content. The new model is amazing for editing that generated content, and it really helps my workflow.

  ### 39. Convenient AI Modes, but Video Editing Feels Credit-Heavy

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

It’s convenient to have multiple AI generation modes in a single environment.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

I tried the "edit video fonction", and it seems to always require a reference frame, which needs credits to be generated. But then you also need credits to generate the video itself.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having VFX available through natural language is a really neat feature.

  ### 40. Text-to-Video Made Easy, But Results Depend on Prompt Quality

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek C. | Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

With just text you can create video clips based on your input

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

The prompt quality really matters when trying to achieve the best results

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By taking an idea you may have and creating a usable video clip with no editing knowledge.

  ### 41. Great Video Adjustments, Though Some Technical Functions Can Be Tricky

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noah R. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

I like the ability to doctor or adjust videos to make them better.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

Some technical functions are problematic but for the most part they work great.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to create better organic content to share across platforms.

  ### 42. Effortless AI Video Production with Natural Results

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rupak S. | Co Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Runway?**

I like Runway's specific model that lets me copy-paste live video expressions to an AI video, making it more natural and authentic. The UI and UX are pretty straightforward, so it's easy to understand. I don't need to shoot high-quality video for it; just using my phone works fine. Also, the unlimited pricing feature is great because we can generate multiple outputs without worrying about running out of credits. This makes it really convenient. The setup was easy, and I think even new users without an AI background would find it simple to grasp.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

It takes time because it creates its own AI models. And, like, I don't have an option to switch to other existing models from other tools, which are better. We have to stick with Runway model only for text to video. So that is something that creates an issue sometimes.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Runway's lip sync feature makes AI videos more natural and authentic by copying expressions from real videos. It's straightforward to use, and the unlimited pricing feature allows for endless video generation without credit worries.

  ### 43. Total waste of money

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Veton I. | Enterprise Client Onboarding Manager I, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Runway?**

Nothing at all, avoid at all costs its a waste of money.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

I had high hopes for Runway AI's video generation, but the results were absolutely terrible. The output was unusable, incoherent, and nowhere near what was advertised. None of the materials were usable for my project.

To make matters worse, when I reached out for a refund, it was flatly refused despite the product clearly not delivering on its promises. I ended up wasting both time and money. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend this service to anyone looking for professional or even basic creative tools.

Avoid at all costs.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my experience, Runway didn’t solve any problems—it actually created more. The video generation was poor quality, completely unusable for any practical purpose. I gained no benefit from using the platform, and the refusal to issue a refund only added to the frustration. It did not live up to its marketing or promise of streamlining creative workflows.

  ### 44. High-Quality AI Video Generator with Impressive Image Quality

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

High quality AI video generator with good image quality. Has a preview feature that lets you preview the first frame of video before generation.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

Credits do not regenerate. Once the free credit are used, then it is paid only.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating AI content videos for social media.

  ### 45. Garbage Software, Don't Waste Your Money or Time

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul P. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Runway?**

Nothing. This software is absolute garbage and overpriced

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

Cost of credits. Image to video creation. Poor quality, uses lots of your credits, and produces nothing unusable.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway is solving zero problems what so ever and is nothing more than a waste of moeny and time.

  ### 46. Giving me my credits back.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Runway?**

I liked it in the beginning because I was new and wanted some better animation so I upgraded to standard plan.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

Doesn't follow prompts and it uses up credits for a video generated that isn't correct. I used up 600 credits on one scene that runway couldn't create. Why cant runway give me preview of scene before taking credits. I am wasting money for garbage.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing that concerns runway. I just want my 600 credits back that I used for garbage. It didn't create anything to my use. Why can't this software give me preview before taking my credits for garbage.

  ### 47. Runway: Enhancing Student Creativity with AI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prachi S. | Teaching Assistant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Runway?**

As a teaching assistant, what I like best about Runway is how accessible it makes advanced AI tools for creative projects. It’s really user-friendly, so students can quickly get hands-on experience with machine learning and AI without needing extensive technical knowledge. The variety of features—like image generation and video editing—offers lots of opportunities for students to explore and experiment with AI in practical, engaging ways. It’s great to see how enthusiastic they become when they can apply these tools to their own projects.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

I feel that some of its more advanced features can be a bit complex and might require a steeper learning curve. While it’s generally user-friendly, certain aspects can be challenging for students who are new to AI or machine learning. Additionally, the free tier has limitations that might not fully cover all the tools and features, which can be a bit frustrating when trying to work on more in-depth projects.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Runway is tackling the issue of making sophisticated AI tools approachable and usable for creative tasks. It breaks down complex processes like image and video manipulation into simple, intuitive steps, so even those new to AI can get involved.

For me as a teaching assistant, this is great because it lets me show students how AI can be used in real-world projects without needing to dive into complex technical details. It helps make learning about AI more engaging and practical, which really boosts their enthusiasm and creativity.

  ### 48. Best Text to Video AI tool I have ever used!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Runway?**

RunwayML is one of the best AI tools out there, it is straightforward. I particularly like its image/text-to-video tool which works like a magic wand, It's very easy to implement in my video editing workflow. I use it frequently to create cinematic video shots that later I can incorporate into my timeline to make full-length highly engaging videos that my viewers love.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

I don't think I have anything to dislike about this software, I believe Runway ML is leading the way forward.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time-saving, definitely. If I were to create a similar video using any other software than RunwayML, first Its quite difficult, and second It would take a lot of time. We want to create videos that are engaging and good, within the least time possible, that is where RunwayML helped me a lot.

  ### 49. Runway Makes Creative Work Much Easier

**What do you like best about Runway?**

Runway is very user friendly and set up is also very easy. I use it intregrateing with Canva.I use it several times in a month for my clients even for my personal works. Because it is easy to use ans less time consuming

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

It is not cheap for me. I used free version that gave me low quality results.

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Runway, I needed different types of skills like video editing, light-effect, motion graphics etc. And it took lots of time to create a high quailty motion video,But now all I need a just text prompt of image. That's saves my times and efforts every smarty.

  ### 50. Almost there, can't wait to see where it goes

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Runway?**

It's an intuitive interface and what it can create can be magical, or it can also miss the mark quite a bit.

**What do you dislike about Runway?**

The paid subscription doesn't give you a ton of credits each month, so as a newer user I have to be very experimental... Which uses credits quickly... It would be awesome if your first 3 months of paid subscription give you more credits for experimental purposes to learn the service

**What problems is Runway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For quick stock snippets in YouTube videos runway hits the mark about 60% of the time... Even when the videos don't match the prompt they still look amazing compared to other services
