"The future of all recording and editing"
5/5
What do you like best about Riverside?

I love that I can record high-quality content solo with a teleprompter (with my phone or high-end camera) or just a conversation with a friend or colleague, and it's really easy to use even for non-techie folks. The transcription is really valuable, as you can quickly jump to the good parts. I'm warming up to the online text-based editor as I see how it's faster than desktop editing for some simple edits. What do you dislike about Riverside?

I wish I could make others host so I wouldn't have to be there to start and stop recordings. I wish it were easier to share recordings with others who don't have an account. I know it's possible, but it could be more straightforward. The web editing and mobile editing experience could be better and more responsive, but it's been improving quite a bit over the last year. "Studio-quality remote recording that keeps our crew connected across the US"
5/5
What do you like best about Riverside?

The local recording with separate audio and video tracks is an absolute game-changer. It means internet drops or lag never ruin a take, and having pristine, isolated tracks ready to go makes the post-production editing process for The Rooted Crew Podcast incredibly smooth. It gives us studio-grade quality every single time, no matter where our guests are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

The browser-based setup can be pretty heavy on system resources, which occasionally causes high CPU usage or fan noise on older laptops when running a long session. There are also moments where massive local files take a while to fully upload and process after a recording wraps, causing a bit of a bottleneck when we're ready to jump straight into editing. "Effortless Recording and Amazing Text-Based Editing"
5/5
What do you like best about Riverside?

The most helpful thing about Riverside is how easy it is to use. I can just hit record and let the AI lay the groundwork for me with cuts and clips, and the text-based editing is amazing. I also like that Riverside has added a lot of different ways to connect and share your content once it’s finished. They make it really easy to upload to different social media channels and other platforms, and you can even host your podcast and get an RSS feed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

I think we’re still early in the AI journey, and there are simply some things that are better handled manually. I do believe it’s going to be good once AI catches up to the level of professional editing.Performance-wise, I'm still not sure if it is my connection and my computer that is slow or if it is the Riverside platform that takes a while to process. "Easy to Use and Makes Podcast Production and Editing a Breeze"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Riverside?

Ease of use. Really focused on getting rolling and the learning curve is not too steep. Particularly like that I can edit my podcast from the transcript.

Scheduling is pretty simple and at this point I'm rolling about 2 episodes a week, while still maintaining my life, which again speaks to the ease of use factor.

I'm still early stage with the AI portions, but so far what I've used has been very solid - in particular I recently created within Riverside an AI personalized prompt that I can now re-use! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

Honestly, no downsides, but I'm new to podcasting so I'd say you don't know what you don't know : ) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Riverside has been critical to my podcast's growth!"
5/5
What do you like best about Riverside?

One of the things that first stood out to me was the ability to auto-save the host's and guest's video and audio files. I lived in the mountains for about 100 episodes, and sometimes the internet would be intermittent. On more than a handful of occasions, Riverside saved us from having a great conversation that was never aired. One episode in particular I thought was a total loss, but because our files were auto-saved to the cloud, the episode aired smoothly, and no one would EVER know there was any problem to start with.

I've watched the software progress as their user interface has gotten more intutitve and the additiions to their features are always nicely well done and seemingly made from someone who is actually a user. Plus the monthly price it's a no brainer for all the features you get on top of the recording platform. I implore all of my clients, and every podcaster I connect with, to use riverside because it doesn't make any sense not to! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

Every piece of software has growing pains and if there's any "dislike" it's simply those growing pains but that's not on Riverside, per se. It is on them in how their team handles that growth and expands the product. Yes, there have been some slow moments but having worked in SaaS and with digital production teams bi-weekly sprints can feel too slow at times. They seem to be on the ball and doing what they can as they grow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Riverside Streamlined My Podcast Workflow with Magic Audio and Clips"
5/5
What do you like best about Riverside?

Riverside has become a core part of my podcast workflow. The Magic Audio feature automatically cleans up my sound after every recording — no manual noise removal needed. I also noticed that on-screen text (like logos on clothing) displays correctly and not mirrored, which alone cuts 10–15 minutes of post-editing per episode.

UI / UX

The dashboard gets me from setup to recording in under two minutes. Guests join via a browser link — no downloads, no accounts — so I've stopped losing the first 10 minutes of every session to tech troubleshooting.

Integrations

Riverside fits cleanly into my internal publishing workflow — I can get a finished recording out without jumping between multiple tools.

Performance

Because Riverside records locally on each participant's device, a bad Wi-Fi connection no longer ruins an episode. Separate audio tracks per speaker mean I can fine-tune one guest's sound without touching everyone else's.

Pricing / ROI

At $288 for the annual package, the value is clear — the time I save on audio cleanup and post-production alone justifies the cost.

Support / Onboarding

Live in-app chat handles most questions quickly. Guest onboarding is so simple I've stopped sending pre-show tech guides entirely.

AI / Intelligence

Magic Clips automatically pulls highlight moments and formats them for Reels and Shorts — content I used to skip making because it took too long. The Co-Creator feature lets me type "remove all silences" or "make a 60-second clip" and it executes instantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

Riverside's studio limit is 10 participants total, but only up to 7 can record simultaneously (with some plans capping it lower). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Riverside SUPERCHARGED My Workflow"
5/5
What do you like best about Riverside?

The AI tools help out my workflow tremendously! I also needed to reach out to their support through chat about a specific issue, and they were very thorough when walking my through finding a solution (that's a BIG deal with the projects I work on). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

Occasionally after uploading a video the audio & video will be out of sync with eachother (especially towards the end of the clip). I found (through a lot of research and trial-and-error) that if the video is more than about 7 GB in size I needed to compress the video to a smaller size first before uploading. There are a number of ways to do it and still retain the video quality, so it's an easy fix. This info might already be posted on their website as well, but I think it would be beneficial to have a reminder prompt pop up before uploading a video file. "All-in-One Podcast Recording with Smart Clips and Scan-Friendly Transcripts"
5/5
What do you like best about Riverside?

I love that it gets rid of all the recording pain points for me - it has all my files in one easy spot, it suggests clips so I don't have to dig back through the episode, and it provides a transcript I can easily scan to find things I want to amend or to pull my own quotes!

The last software I used didn't have a holding room / permission to join button, and having that allows the producers of the pod to get their thoughts together before letting in a guest. I also use it on old episodes of another podcast I do to get transcripts and create social media meterial and blogs! I've found so many ways to work the software into my day to day use and replace both Zoom and Descript. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

The only bummer is that I have to make sure the person on the other side doesn't leave - but since it leads to the best possible quality audio/video, I can't really complain! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Podcasting with Great Clips"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Riverside?

Riverside has helped me be more efficient in my podcast recording process. I love the magic clips for YouTube shorts and Reels, the ease of editing transcripts, and the sound and video quality in the recordings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

There's a big learning curve when it comes to editing and sharing. I'm figuring it out, but with lots of help from Claude.ai. For my visualization videos, it's much easier to record the video on Riverside then jump over to iMovie to finish adding looped music and removing video for dark screen. I'd also like better b-roll footage. I've decided not to use it with the clips it currently offers (mostly male-dominated executives that often don't match the narrative of my podcasts and Shorts.). Otherwise, I love how easy it is to create clips, edit videos, and share to YouTube and podcast platforms including iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, iHeart Radio, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ease of the use is fantastic. I have over 30 podcasts already and I had never done this before. The AI features are great especially enhancing the voice, the music, the B roll inserts THIS IS THE BEST. The performance has been amazing. My videos are fun to watch and whenever I have any questions, their support is always available to help and gets the issue resolved. Usually its becuase I didnt know there was a special feature or easy link to fix what I needed. The pricing is perfect. It has a lot of stuff for the price. It integrats really nicely with social media platforms. IN fact I publish to Spotify directly from Riverside. Love it Love it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
