"Hands-On Customer Success: Technical Depth and True Business Partnership"
5/5
What do you like best about respond.io?

I'm a strategy & digital transformation advisor and have been implementing respond.io for one of my clients. I wanted to leave a review specifically about our customer success manager, Joshua L.

In my experience, CSMs tend to fall into one of two camps. Great at the relationship side but vague when things get technical, or technically sharp but not particularly invested in your actual business. Joshua is neither. He genuinely took the time to understand our client's business, asks the right questions, and clearly cares about whether they succeed, not just whether they're happy with the platform.

What stood out most was a recent call where we got into the weeds of building out AI agents and workflows together. Rather than handing us off to someone else or sending over a help article, he rolled up his sleeves and worked through it with us. That kind of combination, real technical depth plus genuine business interest, is rare, and it makes a big difference when you're in the early stages of figuring things out.

We're still building, but already seeing real potential. A lot of that confidence comes from knowing we have someone like Joshua in our corner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about respond.io?

That I didn't start implementing it sooner! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"No costs per user, intuitive flows, and AI support: a fluid and comprehensive platform"
5/5
What do you like best about respond.io?

There are no costs per user; this is the biggest strength for me because, in my experience with similar platforms, the main barrier I had faced was not being able to add my entire team due to the high user license costs. Something else I love is the configuration of the workflows, which are very intuitive. As for documentation and technical support, they are very comprehensive; they have an AI agent that resolves all my questions and problems. It is also one of the only platforms that allows me to integrate TikTok Ads. The platform works very smoothly both on the web and the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about respond.io?

It would be necessary to add Google Ads and a customized reports section with the option to include both open and closed conversations at the same time and to be able to export it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ryan Tan Jit Ming of respond.io

No per-user cost, intuitive workflow config, and TikTok Ads alongside every other channel is a fair picture of what respond.io does for a team running multiple functions at once. On Google Ads and a customised reports section that pulls open and closed conversations together with export, both are specific asks the product team should see directly, https://roadmap.respond.io is the right place to raise them.

"Sleek UI, Fast Onboarding, and AI Agents That Drive Real Sales"
5/5
What do you like best about respond.io?

First of all, the UI is sleek and easy to figure out. My many different channels have been easy to connect from the beginning. The site has been live and we have not had site downtime or trouble in the 3 months we have used the product. The pricing is completely fair and through the platfrom we have been able to convert multiple leads to sales leading to our best performing month ever as a company.

Respond.io onboarded us quickly and also quickly scheduled a technical call when we needed further support.

The AI agents where easy to set up and have been life savers. They buy us time responding intelligently to leads until our team of salespeople can step in for a deeper conservation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about respond.io?

The way leads are organized in the inbox was frustrating at first. When I respond to a lead, that conversation shifts to a different spot in the inbox, which makes it harder to keep track of what came in when. I think it would work better with more of an email-style order, where leads stay organized by the order they arrive.

I’m sure more features, like additional organization options, will be available in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ryan Tan Jit Ming of respond.io

Great to hear the AI Agents ended up doing real work, buying time until your team could step in, on top of a smooth onboarding and quick support experience. On the inbox order, there are a few ways to sort and filter conversations that might get closer to what you're after. Our support team can walk you through the options at https://respond.io/contact, and if none of them fit, you can raise it as a feature request at https://roadmap.respond.io.

"End-to-End Revenue Lifecycle Management That Scales High-Volume Conversations"
5/5
What do you like best about respond.io?

What I like best about respond.io is how complete it is as a revenue lifecycle management platform. It gives us one place to manage the full journey from lead capture to qualification, routing, follow-up, and conversion, instead of stitching together separate tools for inbox, automation, and reporting. That has made our workflow much more structured and scalable, especially for WhatsApp and other high-volume conversations.

What’s most valuable is the combination of automation, workflow design, and channel management. We can build clear processes for handling incoming leads, assign conversations to the right team member, qualify prospects faster, and keep momentum moving through the sales cycle. The result is less manual work, faster response times, and a more consistent customer experience.

I also value the integrations and flexibility. respond.io fits into broader sales and marketing operations much better than point solutions, so it supports a more connected workflow rather than creating another silo. For a team that needs to turn conversations into revenue, that end-to-end visibility is a major upside. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about respond.io?

The main downside is that respond.io can feel quite powerful, but that also means there is a learning curve. Some of the workflow and automation features take time to fully understand, especially when setting up more advanced processes for lead routing, qualification, and revenue operations. For teams that want to move quickly, the platform can feel a bit complex at first.

Another area that could be improved is the depth of certain integrations and reporting options. While the platform connects well into broader workflows, I sometimes wish some integrations were even more seamless and that reporting could be more flexible for deeper performance analysis. That would make it easier to measure ROI and optimize campaigns without relying on external tools.

Pricing can also become a consideration as usage grows, especially for teams with larger contact volumes or more advanced operational needs. The value is there, but the cost-benefit balance becomes more important as the team scales, so clearer packaging or more transparent guidance on scaling costs would help.

Overall, these are not major blockers, but more areas where the product could be easier to adopt, easier to measure, and easier to scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ryan Tan Jit Ming of respond.io

Thanks for taking the time to write this. It's great to see respond.io being used to both run and demonstrate a structured conversation-led sales process, and the way you've described the end-to-end visibility really captures what we're trying to build.

Respond.io does have a learning curve, particularly with the advanced workflow and routing you mentioned. That complexity comes from genuine depth, and once it's set up the way you need, it makes a real difference to what you get out of the platform. You don't have to work through it alone, either. Live support is available 24/5 across all channels and our AI support runs 24/7 trained on our full knowledge base, so help is always there at https://respond.io/contact.

On pricing as you scale, respond.io is priced on monthly active contacts, so your cost per contact goes down as conversation volume grows. Our team is happy to talk through what makes sense for your setup at the same link!

Once again, thank you for being with us. 🙌

"Stable, User-Friendly Platform with Easy Setup, Integrations, and AI"
5/5
What do you like best about respond.io?

The platform is very stable and reliable. Setting up a customer is straightforward, as long as their Meta Business is prepared correctly. Fortunately, Respond.io also makes the connection process easy, and there is plenty of helpful information available to guide you.

There are a lot of integrations available, including the option to run your own apps and send requests through hooks and the API.

The pricing is a little steep for the South African market; however, Respond.io is always available to help customers understand the true value of what they’re spending.

The AI features are easy to teach and use, even for an entry-level admin user.

Overall, the platform’s UX is stable, user-friendly, and easy to understand, even when you run into trouble connecting another channel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about respond.io?

The only thing that really comes to mind is the pricing. The South African market is tough right now because the economy is suffering due to bad governance, and we also need to remit payments in $. With the ZAR being quite a bit weaker than the USD, it makes the cost harder to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ryan Tan Jit Ming of respond.io

Stable platform, straightforward setup, and AI Agents that teach quickly are the parts we work hardest on. On pricing, respond.io's model runs on monthly active contacts, so cost per contact drops as your volume grows, which is designed to scale with a reseller book. On the separate admin account setup, our support team can walk you through role and permission options that already exist for this kind of use case at https://respond.io/contact, and if nothing fits, you can raise it as a feature request at https://roadmap.respond.io.

"Game-Changer for Conversation Tracking and CRM Visibility"
4.5/5
What do you like best about respond.io?

Being able to categorize conversations is a game changer compared to WhatsApp Business. It has really helped our team track the journey contacts go through while they’re talking with our support teams. its easy to see volumes of conversations happening, how easy it is to link contacts with our CRM. The visibility of who and when responded to inquires is a bonus. The team at Respond.io was great while we migrated from previous platform, very supportive and knowledgeable of best practice. The help of AI agents has helped us spend more time resolving issues rather than keep chasing conversations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about respond.io?

It would be good to be able to make video calls with Whatsapp channel, exporting messages could be done better and include contact details when pulling off (currently takes some time to match conversation to contacts). There should be a 'Print' conversation options that would export single conversation either as pdf, csv. Call notification should be coming in a form as message and be more visible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ryan Tan Jit Ming of respond.io

Categorising conversations, matching them to contacts in your CRM, and letting AI Agents take the chase out of follow-ups, that's the workflow respond.io is built around.

On WhatsApp video calling, that depends on what Meta's Business API supports at any given time. For that, plus the exports, per-conversation PDF or CSV, and better call notifications, our support team can walk you through where things stand today at https://respond.io/contact, and anything still genuinely missing you can raise at https://roadmap.respond.io.

"All Our Chats in One Shared Inbox—Fast, Efficient, and Great Value"
5/5
What do you like best about respond.io?

The best part is that I can manage all my chats—like WhatsApp, Instagram, email, etc.—in one place. respond.io brings everything into a shared inbox, so our team can reply to customers from a single dashboard. It also helps even someone with minimal grammar skills respond more professionally by using AI assist. Pricing is minimal compaired to other platforms and the support team is very prompt in helping setting up. and the perfomance is the best in terms of speed and efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about respond.io?

It’s not exactly plug-and-play, but the support helps us make it easy to use. Building advanced flows takes time and effort. The 24-hour window comes from Meta, but it still affects the user experience. Compared to other tools, the integration is easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ryan Tan Jit Ming of respond.io

This made our day. Having all your channels in one shared inbox, with AI assist helping your team respond clearly and managers getting full visibility across chats, is exactly the kind of setup we love hearing about. 🙌

You're spot on that the 24-hour window comes from Meta. We're always keeping an eye on any updates from them that could improve that experience. And for advanced flows, our support team is always around if you need a hand building anything more complex.

If you ever have feature ideas, feel free to submit or vote for them on our public roadmap: https://roadmap.respond.io/

"Smooth, Well-Organized Messaging with Powerful Filters and Top-Notch Support"
5/5
What do you like best about respond.io?

Overall, the experience has been smooth. It includes all the basic features we need, and the functions and tools are well organized and easy to find. The filters are especially helpful, with many different contact properties and support for complex “and” and “or” operators. Good performance on mobile app and laptop. There are options to integrate with other tools that we use. The support is the best thing I like about Respond.io. Earlier, I used WATI and completely disappointed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about respond.io?

On the Basic plan, there are no workflow, API, or webhook features. The higher plans do support these, but the pricing then changes depending on the number of contacts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ryan Tan Jit Ming of respond.io

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this. It's great to hear the filters, mobile performance, and overall organization are working well for your team, and we're especially glad our support has made a difference coming from a previous experience that fell short.

Regarding the workflow, API, and webhook features on the Basic plan, those are available on higher tiers as part of how our plans are structured. If you'd like to explore what fits your needs as you scale, our team is happy to help at https://respond.io/contact.

"AI-Powered Lead Closing Machine – 24/7 Customer Engagement Done Right"
5/5
What do you like best about respond.io?

Respond.io has become a vital part of our digital solutions toolkit at VVS Digital Solutions. What really sets it apart is its focus on being a comprehensive omnichannel conversation platform, rather than simply a messaging tool. That distinction helps us start from real customer pain points and translate them into meaningful, practical use cases for our clients. The platform itself is intuitive to use, and the ongoing support from the partnership team—especially the recent growth sessions—has been incredibly valuable. It’s helped us unlock more value from the platform and position their services more effectively for our customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about respond.io?

The pricing feels a bit steep for businesses based in Asian countries. Compared to the value provided, the cost could be more competitive and region-friendly to make it more accessible for SMEs in Asia. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ryan Tan Jit Ming of respond.io

You've captured exactly what respond.io is built to be, a platform for managing customer conversations across every channel rather than just another messaging tool. Great to see the AI Agent and automated lead cycles closing customers around the clock for you.

On the pricing, it's built around monthly active contacts, so your cost per contact drops as your conversation volume grows, which is deliberate for teams scaling the way you are. If you'd like to walk through the plan that fits your setup and region, our team is happy to help at https://respond.io/contact.

Response from Ryan Tan Jit Ming of respond.io

Thank you for leaving such a detailed review. We truly appreciate the depth here! Using respond.io to both run your own sales process and demonstrate it to prospects is a smart way to work, and it's good to know the workflow and routing logic is making that easier to communicate.

The feedback on the learning curve, reporting flexibility, and pricing transparency is genuinely useful. Those are areas we're actively working on, and if there are specific features or reporting capabilities you'd like to see built out, the roadmap is the right place to push for them: https://roadmap.respond.io 🚀

On scaling costs, it's worth having a direct conversation with our team so we can walk you through the options. You can reach us at https://respond.io/contact anytime.

Thanks for being with us.
